This is one sturdy, heavy-duty NVMe SSD external metal enclosure! It even comes with a wraparound bumper for good measure. And thus far, it's easy to use, works well with my Windows 11 computer, and its USB-C transfer speeds are great.

Very good adapter, excellent quality, completely made of aluminum, includes thermal packs, even has a pendant to carry it as a keychain on your backpack. It is very pretty and its performance is excellent.

Great looking, sturdy, hefty, cool, overkill? I have been updating computers spending money like a mad man on RAM, SDD and the rest and ended up with 2x2TB NVMe drives I didn't know what to do with as I had no more space in my PC.So these were purchased as toys. Funny how we survived so long with 32 or 64 or 128GB USB and now have 2TB... fun stuff.

I purchased this case for my SSD, because a previous purchase of a different brands case failed to work properly with PlayStation. I was going to purchase this Asus Rog Strix case before I bought the off brand, but was lured in by the claims of 40gbps speeds. Lesson learned now! The Asus case is top quality with a small footprint, comes with premium charging cords, nice thermal pads, and clip to secure it to a backpack or whatever you want. Has nice color changing lights if that’s your thing(Aura sync).It was plug and play. The only thing I didn’t care for was the pin key to unlock the cover. It’s tiny, and can easily be lost or misplaced. Overall this is the best SSD portable case I’ve owned out of the three others I have.

I've never dealt with SSD enclosures before. I was looking to add storage space but didn't feel like opening devices. I have to say, after using it for a little while, purchasing the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion was a great decision.Setup for the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion was rather easy...for the most part. It came with everything needed. Didn't even require the M2 screw to be removed. The device includes a heatsink, which, at first I was a little wary about. I struggled to get the device to lock closed. I've looked over the instructions a million times to see if I'm missing something, if I am, it wasn't written clearly. While I can close the device, it doesn't quite lock back shut. With everything installed, I connected it to my computer.With the tests I ran, the speeds come pretty close to the 10 Gb speed promised by the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion. Close enough to not complain. 10 Gbps (gigabits, not gigabytes) equals around 1250 Megabytes, my tests came back with speeds of around 1000. For me, that's close enough considering this storage was added via USB. A lot of other USB devices that have promised similar speeds have come up short, and while I could install the Samsung 990 in my computer to get the speeds up to its max capacity, with the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion, this internal SSD becomes a USB storage device that can be used with anything I choose, which is a major win.The RGB lighting is a nice little addition, but what has really impressed me is the way the device maintains a cool temperature even while in use. I have no fear of the storage failing due to overheating while using the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion.For those looking to add some extra storage, the ASUS ROG STRIX Arion is a wise choice for turning internal storage into external USB storage. While it is a bit pricier than some of its competition, I'd say its ability to keep a decent temp while in use makes it worth it. I'm willing to wager I made some error in attempting to relock the device, hopefully, you don't run into the same issue.

This thing is awesome - very sturdy, very well built. It is a bit on the larger/heavier side, but that's a small tradeoff in my opinion for the style and ruggedness. Love it!!
