I've used magnetic net holders for years, but decided to try to reconfigure how my fly outfit was set up. I mounted the retractor high on the back of my rear bag which allowed the net to stay out of the way for the majority of the walk in to the river and when wading.The net was easily accessible when landing fish and the retractor cord stayed nicely out of the way and out of the current unlike elastic net keepers needed with a magnetic holder. After releasing the fish, the net pulled nicely back into position with no fuss.I haven't had the retractor long enough to comment on its durability, but I hope I have it for years to come.

I had been looking at magnet retentions for a Trout net, saw this and bought it instead. Much easier to put your net back. Orvis sells their version of this for two bucks more, but the only difference is the Orvis label; otherwise they are identical. The 12 ounce pull is plenty and the cord is strong. With the hanger clip, I can also hang it from a belt if not using my vest.

I have always used a bungy net tender. I wish i would have found the hammerhead years ago! I hang it off the loop in my jacket and my net is down my back, completely out of the way. when i need it, it is right here with plenty of line length to net a fish

Solid and smart. I've place this on the BOTTOM/FRONT of my Umpqua chest pack and locked the chord with about a foot of free length so I can place my net to be easily and quickly accessible from my back. Then I unlock to use if necessary. This is a SOLID WELL MADE product better than anything I've seen or used.

I’ve tried lots of different ways to carry, and keep from losing, landing nets while wading & fly fishing. This is the simplest and most effective way I’ve tried.

It would be okay if I was working as a janitor but in an office setting, looks ridiculous.

Used this to attach my fishing net to my fly-fishing vest. Could never find a good way to attach my net before this gadget. Seems to be the same as the Orvis version but cheaper.

I got this for my fly vest for my net what I did not expect how big it is and slightly heavy , not sure if I will use it as was expecting it to be smaller like my staff retractor, other than that looks premium quality.

Great quality. Been very hard on it for the past 2 months. Has not failed yet. 😀
