Fit like a glove
I was hesitant about purchasing this item because of the reviews. I lost the original that came with Nikon 85mm 1.8 lens. The new one was well packaged looks and feels like the original and fit is good. I recommend this item.

It works and it is branded
It's a lens cap.. What do you expect. It does fit, and it does so have the NIKON name on it. It also comes with an attachment so you don't lose it, but I haven't used that yet. I'm not sure if the branding is real or fake, but WHO CARES!!! I I was kinda annoyed at the person who ever wrote that.

Cheap copy of a genuine Nikon
NOT a good purchase ! This is a pale copy of a Nikon genuine cap : it doesn't clip very well, a light rub discolored the Nikon logo, etc. It was identified as genuine and its a lie.

Replacement Lens Cap
Anyone familiar with cameras and specifically the lenses on cameras should know that lens caps are an important part of the setup. The replacement Nikon Snap-on Lens that I received was an identical match to the original 67 mm lens cap that came with the camera. I find the cap easy to use, and it does a more than adequate job protecting the lens. The Nikon snap-on is quick and secure when placed on the lens. I also use a uv-filter between the lens and cap to provide addition protection for the lens. The snap-on fits into the filter just as easily as the lens itself. The only problem as with any lens cap is remembering to remove it before taking a picture and also remembering where you stored it.

It does the job…
However reason why I lost it, is that it is completely detached from the camera. Normal for today's cameras you might think, but then I have a Nikon lens cap on my old camera, that has a little loop on the frame where a band is securely connecting it to the camera body. I am not sure why lens caps are designed without security these days, maybe because lenses are constantly changed and lens caps come in different sizes, but it surely would have prevented me from running around rural Poland for a week with a sock over my camera.
