Skar Audio IX-10 D4 10" 400 Watt Max Power Dual 4 Ohm Car Subwoofer

for only being a 10 inch subwoofer this thing absolutely bumps. i have 2 of them wired at 1 ohm in a potted box sitting in the trunk of my car, along with 2 more skar audio 8” subs. one an ix series and the other a vd series. though this subwoofer sounds great and has a great frequency response and clarity, i would recommend putting it in a sealed box. i’ve never been able to fully blow one of these subwoofers. i’ve pushed over 1000 watts of clean power through one while testing it. played for maybe 15-20 minutes at that power. the thing took the beating and didn’t even think twice. now if you’re reading this, please don’t do this. these things are great entry level subwoofers and i would recommend them from anything from car audio to home theater applications. two of these are powered quite well from a rockville rva-m2 amplifier or a standalone single channel amplifier if being used in home theaters.

Works great been given it at least 150 watts daily and it still runs good great cheap sub sad they stopped making it

An exceptionally well built and well priced subwoofer. These have to be the best subwoofers for the money. I'm now a fan of Scar products. I wish I had more to review. I feel really good about finding a new maker of quality products at an exceptional price.

Small but powerful

I bought this to replace a 12" Rockville and this 10" Skar packs one hell of a punch!! I have the Rockville RTB12A loaded enclosure and hardwired the sub to a different amp to see just how much it could take (I didn't care much for the thump it provided) until it popped. Afterwards, I decided on the Skar IX-10 D4 to replace the 12 because it calls for the same amount of ported airspace that is available in the bass tube. I am using the amplifier that is built in (supposedly 600 watts max and 300 watts RMS) and I am NOT disappointed. I am impressed by the quality of the subwoofer for the price that I paid... Would've went with the 12 if it didn't call for so much more airspace, kinda limited by the sub-trunk.

Great sub for the price. I need to upgrade the box but the speaker definitely does its job.

I was looking for replacement subwoofer for my 10" Bazooka tube. I thought i'd try something different other than what came with it. Boy am I glad I did! this thing hammers. I'm an old school audio guy that always liked Bazooka tubes and I can't remember this tube ever sounding this good. For me this is a great bang for the buck budget subwoofer. I also purchased an 8" @ 8ohm's for another tube for my garage system with the same result, awesome bass!

Great little subs for the price and sound really nice One of the magnets has a crack in it that i noticed when opening the box but didn’t think it would cause any problems but that one does have a popping sound at a certain volume

Tiene un buen diseño, un sonido muy muy bueno excelente diría yo. Claro todo depende de el amplificador, el cajón, el cableado, la ecualización y calibrar bien la ganancia. Para acompañamiento de música es perfecto. Para mayor sonido recomendaría una serie más avanzada ya que este es de 200RMS. La calidad de los materiales es excelente, llego bien empaquetado y con mucho tiempo de anticipación.

Solid sub speakers, made my 2x10 setup sound punchy and great

Used to replace an older in house sub speaker. Wired as 8 ohm. Pounds great at a reasonable price.
