Great camera!! You can't go wrong with this one.
Plugs straight into my Raspberry Pi 4B. Boot up the pie issue a few commands. It just works. Many different resolutions for still shots or video. Used with MotionEye OS for best security or surveillance system.

Picture quality could improve
Camera quality seems a bit fuzzy but it's ok for what I use it for, other than that it was a great buy

Octoprint addition
Purchased this for octoprint on my 3d printer. Works pretty well after you get it set up. Would definitely recommend watching a few videos to reduce frustration. Only suggestion if you're using this for a 3d printer is to buy a longer ribbon. You never know when you may need to move the camera, and you want to have enough reach from the pi.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Fried my Raspberry Pi Zero 2
Following the proper procedures, I connected this into my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, then connected the Raspberry Pi to power, immediately after, I heard a pop and saw smoke coming from the Raspberry Pi. I disconnected power, disconnected the camera, then connected the Raspberry Pi back to power, but it does not turn on, and the power indicator light does not illuminate. Upon inspection I found that one of the chips is now burnt through and the 3.3v rail is dead. I sent a message to Arducam Support, but have not received a response. Iโll be returning the camera and acquiring a replacement Raspberry Pi. Iโd look elsewhere for a Raspberry Pi camera solution.

Did the job
Camera quality pretty good. Not crazy about the ribbon cable vs a webcam's USB cable but WTH, you cna't get a webcam right now due to virus anyway. This was plug and play with RPi 3B+. Used for Octoprint.

Not sure if these are all new
"David Farlow" had the exact same experience as me. Bought it, plugged it in, and couldn't get it to work on any of the provided cables with an RPi 3b+ or another RPi 3b. Replaced it with a new one and immediately worked. If you're not able to get it working immediately, it might just be the same dud...

Works fine with my Raspberry Pi 3B+
I built several surveillance cameras using Raspberry Pi 3B+ single board computers and the MEYE software. I'm not a fan of commercial solutions such as Ring because the video goes through their servers. MEYE allows you store the video locally or on a server on your home network.

Its pretty meh
Depending on what you are doing with this camera it is pretty meh. The quality would be good for checking in on a room or kids or 3D printer etc but if you are wanting to record anything with decent quality this is not it. i suggest buying a webcam which can give you much better quality.
