A 'must have' for the young and curious learners. The books will pull their attention in to learning.
I don't know about you, but I remember opening up Eric Carle's books and lighting up with joy as I flipped through the pages. When I was a child, my school would often bring in different books of his, and our teacher would let us read them or he/she would read to us. The colorful pictures and variety of animals, shapes, objects, drawings, etc., you can't be disappointed as a kid. All the things that kids love are in his books. I bought Eric's book sets because of my past memories and fondness with them. As of now, I often use them when I teach to children from the ages of 3-6. In my classes, the books are always a big hit. The children smile when they see the pages turn, and they are able to easily remember the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers, and movements, thanks to the colors and creativity of his books. I personally think that everyone who has young ones, or will have young ones, should make this a top priority purchase.

The very first library
I got it from my son. He loves the books. He flips through them like a manic. Trying to teach to read at an early age. The book itself is critical thinking because you have to look for the picture to match the words. Great bright colours to catch attention.

Great baby shower gift
Four childhood favorites in a box set with beautiful illustrations by Eric Carle. I have bought this set a few times for baby shower gifts and it is always well received. These are board books, so you can read them to your child as a baby and toddler, and they can read them back to you as an early reader! Short sentences make these good books for learning to identify and repeat phrases.

Eric Carle Library Collection
When I was first introduced to Eric Carle, 20 years ago, I loved the way he wrote and the lively illustrations for young children. This collection is no different. Now, that Mr. Carle has passed away, I will cherish his collection even more. The best thing Mr. Carle did was to make the majority of his books on cardstock. They are durable for younglings'.

Suitable for bigger toddlers
Pros: Thick pages. It is not easy for kids to mess it up. Good print. 4 such books with such low price! Thanks for publishing them together.Cons: Some figures look a little too complicated to explain to toddlers. Will suit for kids older than 4 years or so. Don't buy until your toddler has very clear idea of different objects. This book can be used only as a reinforcement tool, not as an instruction book for first timers.

3 year old loves them
These books are so cool. I bought them for Christmas for my 3 year old daughter and she wants me to read them all the time. What we really like is that instead of just reading it to her, it can be somewhat interactive. The pages of the book are split so there's the top section and the bottom section. "Numbers" for example, will have the number 1 on top with 1 block, then on the bottom she'll find the page that only has 1 banana. The pages are thick and sturdy so no need to worry about it getting ripped up!

Nice set of a first library
Even with my grandson having other books on colors and shapes etc... this set is really cute. This will also Grow with him, as now he just can point to things(animals, shapes, colors, etc) but later can be challenged as the cardboard pages are split in two in a clever way, and he will have to look around and use his brain to match top pages to bottom ones. The only thing I would change is the Color Red in the fire truck is is not enough red.

Expected more illustrations, less "exercises"
Some of the pages were blank, others were turned upside down, so 2 of the books were defective. They are meant as a mix and match between the upper and lower part of the book (match the shape with the object for instance). So not quite suitable for a 1 year old.
