Epson P800: A worthy replacement for the Epson 3880
The P800 is a worthy replacement for my old Epson 3880 which unfortunately died when the matte == photo ink valve failed. It's exactly the same size as the old 3880 and works even better. Feeding of thicker papers is fairly foolproof (which could not be said of the 3880). The new ink used with the new Legacy papers provides a quality of image on matte paper that could not be approached on the 3880. In fact, I'm switching to matte papers as my standard for quality output. Something I was never attracted to before.

have loved the predecessor 3880
I'm about to purchase one, have loved the predecessor 3880. Agree this is a usurious price: Adorama and B&H have same printer for $1195 list with current $300 rebate PLUS another $50 if you own qualifying Epson printer. Would bring the price down to around $845 for a new P800. Came to Amazon on Prime Day expecting even better price, but found price to be 3 to 4 times what it should be.
