Clarify & Shine with Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo, Cleanses, Balances and Boosts Shine, Keeps Hair Fresh, Clean and Shiny, Sulfate Free, 385ml

I usually use a different range from OGX, but wanted to try a clarifying shampoo for my fine and delicate hair as a weekly treatment to remove chlorine and product as my hair has been looking dull and lifeless even after a wash. This smells really lovely and my hair and scalp feel very clean after first use, and the texture of my hair feels a little healthier. I think it’s going to be great as a weekly change from my usual collagen and biotin shampoo. I love that the OGX range don’t have sulphates or harsh products that can irritate a sensitive scalp.

Love this, great for a deep clean and the smell is more apple-y, no vinegar or harsh smells. Leaves hair really clean, but not feeling dry.

Has definitely helped my hair last longer between washes. I get greasy roots, often by the next day, but this cleanses effectively and leaves my hair feeling clean but not stripped. Its actually gentle for a clarifying shampoo and good size bottle for the price. Definitely value for money and I will repurchase.

I have mid-back length, wavy brown hair which does have a tendency to get greasy at the roots, despite being tangly and having dry ends. I usually do a double shampoo, while only conditioning the ends, yet I still end up greasy. This really helps. The packaging isn’t quite as nice as some of their other bottles (orchid, coconut water) but it’s what’s inside that counts. The shampoo is quite thick and smells apple-y. Doesn’t smell of vinegar at all. It’s quite a natural scent. This shampoo did keep my hair reasonably free of grease, over three days of long walks where I got sweaty, as well as getting caught in the rain once. I will say that it’s quite thick and hard to spread in my hair, I ended up using quite a lot and I’m not sure this bottle would last any longer than 5 or 6 washes. I have a sensitive scalp but suffered from no itchiness or soreness with this, in fact the candidal intertrigo behind my ears seemed to fade, which leads me to think the Apple Cider vinegar in it may contain mild antifungal properties. I was very impressed by this. This is very clarifying; I did need to use a conditioner and my hair was quite hard to brush afterwards, so you may need to use more conditioner than normal, however I used a wet brush as I don’t like overdoing the conditioner incase I end up greasy. I would not use this shampoo if you have dry hair. Four stars. Missed out on the full five because it works out as quite expensive with how much you have to use due to the thick consistency.

I have long, thick and quite course hair and find this is a really good, gentle clarifying shampoo for getting rid of product buildup in your hair without stripping it and leaving it hard to comb through, plus it smells good as well. It’s a good consistency and as it’s sulphate free it works better if you put some on your hands and work up a lather first before applying it to your hair. I have highlighted hair and use it once a week before using an extra nourishing and conditioning shampoo and conditioner and my post menopausal hair is in good condition.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before but this honestly warrants being my first. I just used this a few hours ago and I’m not even exaggerating when I say that i do not ever recall my hair and scalp feeling so clean. I’ve struggled massively with greasy hair since my early teens (im 26 now), even after washing and drying my hair, my roots still felt oily and heavy no matter what I used (I’ve spent HUNDREDS), it made no difference. After one single wash with this shampoo, my roots feel SO clean, so light and crazy healthy - clearly now free of whatever residue was plaguing them! I’ve also had recent issues with scalp build up, flakiness and constant itchiness, since washing my hair with this my scalp feels so soothed and I haven’t felt the itch once so far! If you’re debating buying this - don’t! For £4 this stuff is magic in a bottle, my only regret is I wish I’d found it sooner!!

The first time I bought this shampoo it was great, made a difference to my greasy hair, that needed to be washed everyday. However, i bought this again, the bottle has changed from a clear to matt, but also the product/ ingredient seems to have changed. My hair is going back to how it was. Gutted, as it smells so good and I thought my hair had finally met its match 😢

Excellent shampoo washes the hair lovely . Left my hair soft smooth and manageable. My hair is very dry and damaged. I would recommend this it’s probably one of my favourite shampoos. Can’t believe the price . I’ve got some expensive shampoos and this probably is the better.
