Great portable device, accurate, and no subscription costs
Loved the fact this product can sit anywhere on the dash or even in a cup holder (has 3M mounting pads included if required). Does not need a power supply as runs from an internal battery, which should last multiple years and can then be easily replaced.. no cabling, and no hard wiring needed.Very simple to connect the device via Bluetooth to the phone app, and provided you enable ‘Always allow location’ and the app is always open in the background, the device automatically connects when it detects movement of the vehicle and starts working by itself. Obviously you need to have your phone with you for your journey so that the device can connect and therefore work. The device is very discreet (can be hidden away when leaving your car also) with an LED which flashes along with a clearly audible sound to alert you of upcoming speed cameras, both fixed and average, also regular mobile speed camera locations along your route, as well as options to alert to you to hazards and congestion when reported by other users of the Saphe devices.Customer support who I contacted with a query were also very efficient and helpful. The device alerts you with a customisable alarm setting and if used with your phone you can also see exactly what the alarms are warning you about. I set a different alarm tone for different alerts and so was easy to determine which of the tones related to which type of hazard. If you are under the speed limit where there is a camera you can set a ‘soft tone alarm’, and likewise if you are over speed can be set to give a stronger alarm signal.Would highly recommend to others, the more people using these type of devices the better the alerts for congestion and hazards will be too.For the price, with no monthly or annual subscription costs this is a really worthwhile piece of kit for any driver with a smartphone.

Cheaper than a speeding ticket
OK I was on the fence for this device. No it's not perfect, but its super handy to have in your car. So long as you are used to a mobile you won't have any issues with the app or installing. Update and follow the instructions to make the app run in the background all the time (Important). Also do read the instructions there small so head over the the Saphe site and you can download or read there on a bigger device. It will then connect to your mobile as you get into the car, well so it say but it does 9 out of 10 times so not perfect. But thats all you have to do is press the blue button till it beeps and if followed by a green light your connected. If it's yellow/red your not. But you can check your phone if your not sure. I found the phone software not great but it's not all about that for me. In the UK with the new laws it's nice to have a physical device you to warn you on the speed cameras as we all can get side tracked. So for me I run Tom Tom Amigo but on overlay as this can be set to 1mph over the road speed to warn you and it does cameras too. Then I have Waze up as my main app. So all the software mentioned is free. I don't think you can trust any one device to keep you on track. And unless the UK has the Saphe devices as popular as they are in Europe you will need backup. So Waze for now is one of the best apps, but Waze does not warn me if I am 1 mph under the speed limit approaching a fixed camera. For me this is a problem so the Saphe One + steps in and does the rest for my peace of mind. I highly recommend the Saphe One. Top car gadget. And just to clear up this, you can replace the battery very easy. Check the Saphe site for a video. As one review said you couldn't and gave a negative.

Great idea but.....
Great idea, shame is doesn't work!Easily set up. Installed the app, connected the smartphone. Tested the alarms. Drove past two cameras and nothing happened. Not a sound. Nothing.I've checked all the settings and that the map is up to date and the cameras in question are shown on the map.Waste of time and money. It'll be going back.

Just perfect well worth buying
Well to say I'm really pleased with this device is an understatement. I was nearly put off by some of the negative reviews but I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it as it's so easy to use just download the app set it to your phone and that's it as long as you have your phone with you in the car it works you can even set different alarm sounds for different types of cameras and there is no service fee .I haven't rated the battery life as I haven't had it long enough but everything else is just perfect well worth buying

Saphe One +
Neat and compact unitDid not like the small beep it makes instead of the siren that I chose, does not switch on when I get into the car so I have to manually switch it on. In a word disappointed with its use !!

Fixed cameras found
This is not good for rural areas, or if your expecting it to point out speed vans.It makes you aware of fixed cameras. Not that good at camera traffic lights. Speed vans only identified if another user register it on their units.I like that the flashing light and siren that goes off when near a fixed camera will make you aware. No question about that.I Did not like it at first. But once you get used to it's quirks it's pretty good.Update. Just over 12 months use it's dead. The battery was replaced but still fails. When pressing the buttons it lights up. But that's all it does. Yes my account is active etc. Will not be buying another.

It ok but
Brought this it's good for fixed cameras (google maps does the same thing for free) but no good for mobile ones around my area, it doesn't go off at all. i know where most of them are but if you try to put them in without actually being there it threatens you with misuse. Not practical to stop on the side of the road to put the location when you are there passing the mobile unit plus you could get 6 points for picking your phone up so a waste of money.
