Q: Is it dishwasher safe?

The special design of the turned lip of the pot opening will make dishwasher water spraying and drainage problematic. Best to wash by hand.

One of the item photos shows a 'disc' alongside the Pressure cooker. This 'disc' is a formed aluminum spacer with holes in it. It's purpose is to keep food or food containers out of the water for steaming purposes. Nothing to do with induction heating. The bottom of the pot is made of a metallic composition suitable for induction heating.
