Hot Chocolate Without All The Sugar? Yes, Please!
When Hurricane Helene visited my neck of the woods, she knocked out my power and as a result, killed my Keurig. I had purchased a Crio Bru starter pack months prior and decided to give it a try the next morning. While getting off the caffeine was not fun, I'm so glad I did. I look forward to my morning chocolate and the best part is I can have chocolate any time of the day or even night if I want. I think I even sleep better and feel, I don't know, cleaner somehow. My moods have evened out, as well. At least, I think they have. I just feel better now. This flavor in particular is a favorite but I like all of them that I've tried so far. Really, they don't taste that much different and I tend to mix flavors anyway. It's not the same as coffee but I like it better. I mean, it's chocolate! What's not to like? I do add creamer (I now make my own) and some flavorings to it - peppermint is really good in this. I use the French press method. I also save any left over in a glass jar and keep it in the fridge to make iced chocolate once the left over builds up enough. Or make it the night before and have it cold or heat it up in a sauce pan along with creamer and flavorings, just like hot chocolate. I love peppermint mocha, especially as the holidays approach so this is perfect. I don't think I'll ever go back to coffee now. If you're considering getting Crio Bru, don't hesitate. Get the starter pack. I highly recommend it! Also, one little tip if you do - add some salt to the grounds before you add the water. It seems to give the flavor some punch.

Can this be replaced??
This idem appears to be moldy in bag and also when brewed it has mold on top of liquid. I just opened it recently.

Love it.
Mixing some of this and some coffee grounds in my French press. It is So good! I'm going to be reducing the coffee and increasing the Cacao.

So. Darn. Tasty.
I kind of hate leaving a positive review because I don’t want the price to go up! This stuff is amazing for sipping in the evenings when you want something decaf, but bolder than a cup of herbal tea. It has a rich chocolatey flavor with a texture more akin to tea than cocoa. Brewing takes about 10 minutes and needs to be done in a press-style coffee maker (Aeropress/French press) for best results—I once tried putting it through a drip machine and was super disappointed because it was a total waste. If I’m feeling fancy, sometimes I’ll add a shot of Irish crème or just some cream and stevia. It’s also amazing to ice down leftovers and stir them in with cold brew coffee for a mocha. If you’re a coffee and/or tea snob, you really need to try this. It really is spectacular!

Good but very bitter
I've tried a few different varieties and this by far is the most bitter. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't compare but feel like this would be closest to actual coffee. I like it well enough but probably won't order this flavor again. Love all the other crio bru flavors I've tried.

Love Crio Bru Cacao
This cacao is the limited edition? Crio Bru listen to me! Put this as one of your regular line products! The smell is sweet and chocolatey? Is that a word? It is now! The aroma knocks you over with delight every time you open the bag. The smooth, clean taste of cacao is addicting. Crio Bru needs to make me a spokesperson for them! Every single person I run into, I have hooked them onto Crio Bru cacao! Send me a message Crio Bru!!

Didn't care for
First, I love Crio Bru and have been drinking different brews for a while now. This one disappointed me. It was strong, no real cacao flavor and tasted and smelled (while brewing) chemically or something. I had to air out my house after brewing and tossed it. It gave me a headache. If you like strong and bitter this is for you but I will stick with the medium roasts I like. I also added stevia and HWC to it and it did not help. Not sure what I will do with the rest of the 1.5 lb bag.

It’s very dark, but delicious when I mixed it with a lighter brewed chocolate
This is terrific, but it really is exceptionally dark. It was too dark for me, but it worked out very well when I mixed it with a lighter roast brewed chocolate.
