Bonnlo Tall Gate One-Panel Extension, Black

I have no idea why everyone is complaining about this.Now, I have ceramic tile throughout my home, so I was just able to stand the gate up on the floor and it was fine, but there was no "assembly"; I took it out of the box and unfolded it. Because I'm just using it to keep dogs out of a room in an open floorplan home, I didn't even need to mount it to the wall. (Obviously, if there were children involved, it would need to be secured, but there are not). Maybe it matters that I got the 120" one, but "setup" took me approximately 30 seconds.I've had it for less than a week and it's fine now. I see that some people are complaining about it not working later on, and if that becomes an issue I can update my review, but for now, it's perfect.

I bought this Bonnlo Baby Gate after seeing a review/photo of someone who has a similar awkward layout to their home as I do. I have a raised ranch, and at the top of the stairs there is this big dangerous area around the top of the stairs where there is a metal railing and nowhere to easily attach a doorway gate (see photos). This worked very well for babyproofing this awkward area of my home!The gate is pretty reasonably priced compared to others on the market, it easily and effectively covers my open entrance at the top of my stairs as well as the whole metal railing along the edge of the stairs (where there is a potentially dangerous drop), it is easy to customize, it is a sturdy metal material, it doesn't move around easily, and it locks into place firmly. The door is easy to open for an adult, but my baby definitely isn't able to figure it out. The door can be locked shut or swung open in either direction and there is an option to keep it open without the door swinging around.I installed this myself, without any help from my husband so I would say installation is fairly simple. However, the instructions are in poorly translated English so that was a little bit annoying, but it was easy enough to figure out what to do based on the pictures and a little critical thinking. I ended up anchoring mine into a closet door frame (hard wood) and my entryway corner (metal stud) so it is SUPER stable. My baby pushes against it and it doesn't move at all.One modification that I did was placing thin, non-slip furniture pads on the whole base of the gate because I have hardwood floors that I would prefer not to damage! I'm not sure if this also helps hold the gate in place well, but I have no complaints.If you are looking for a long baby gate for any awkward places in your home that you'd like to babyproof, I would recommend buying this. Just be aware that the installation process might require a little bit of problem solving because the instructions aren't completely clear.Hope this helps!

Wonderful easy to install product

UPDATE: reached out to the seller and they sent a new part to replace the broken latch!Purchased this gate in January and have loved it. Opened it this morning and the button broke off to be able to open the gate. Having to keep a screwdriver by the gate to be able to open it. Pretty disappointing that it only lasted 6 months.

My wife and I bought this gate because we thought it was very cool how we could form the gate to where it would fit best in our home. When we got the gate I was so excited to get to work on it, but little did I know that it would make me go mentally insane. I started off by getting all the pieces together and putting the gate together, smooth sailing. But mounting it into the wall is where things would take a dark turn. I realized that to mount it into the wall was so difficult because the lack of thinking through on the design. I struggled and struggled putting this thing together, and that’s when I blacked out and woke up on normandy beach.My boat arrived to the beach and before I could ask any questions I was being yelled at to storm the beach. Without question I ran like there was no tomorrow, with no real goal. We fought and fought for 24 days straight. I saw many good men fall in battle, but I decided to keep on going for my fallen brothers. In the 24th day we were told that we succeeded in battle and that is when I awoke back on the floor of my living room putting this stupid gate back together.

We live in upper part of our home!! My mother lived in the downstairs apartment!! Bc she couldn't do stairs I had an electric chair climber!! My husband and I got a new puppy and we needed a safety gate to keep her upstairs!! Bc of the chair climber, I could not use a regular gate!! I bought two different styles prior to this gate!! The other styles were not safe for us, bc we were always on a step, trying to open or move the gate and bring our puppy downstairs to go outside to do her business!! I felt this was very unsafe of us, as we are in our elderly years!! I was very concerned about us losing our balance and falling down the stairs!! So I went back to the Amazon website to search for another type of gate!! I came across this one and thought it would work well!! This gate accommodated the chair climber, the gate was further away from the stairs, which allowed safety for us and our puppy!! The gate opener is in the middle and can be opened in both directions, which is a nice feature!! The only concerning part is I'm not sure if the gate features will last a long time bc we are up and down the stairs frequently!! I'm not sure if there are replacement parts?? The gate does wiggle slightly when opening the gate, but I don't feel that would be a problem in the future!! Overall, I love the functionality of this gate, but more importantly, I love the safety that it provides for us and our puppy!! I would highly recommend purchasing this type of gate if you have similar needs as we did!!
