Absolutely fragrance free and not a lot of bubbles!!!!
I have had an issue with many fragrance free shampoos having large amounts of SLS etc and for some reason causes my mouth to burn and become very soapy and foamy after showering. I have ordered so many that I have been losing my mind a bit. So I was nervous last night but I decided to give this one a try. I am so glad I did!!! This was the shampoo that did not create a ridiculous amount of soapy lather and the smell was great no fragrance no rancid odors. I used a very small amount just in case and it was completely enough to lather up my curly ethnic hair. It did not dry out my hair either and paired with the conditioner I was able to comb out some terrible knots I had in my hair. Best product I have ever used and planning to order in bulk here soon. Now I dont have to cut all my hair off!

Love it
This shampoo is fantastic compared to all of the others I have tried. Still has a really nice lather while being safe to use and gentle on hair. I have fine high density hair that often sits flat and this doesn't weigh it down too much, but cleans fantastically. The conditioner is *way too greasy/oily for me. Most shampoos that are 'gentle' (like vanicream or organic baby shampoo) have had no lather and don't end up cleaning my hair at all. Ends up looking nasty and wasting time and money. This stuff actually does what it's supposed to and cleans my hair while not leaving it super dry or stripped. Sometimes have to cleanse twice but I read your supposed to do that anyhow 🤷♀️

Fragrance-Free Formula Review
It's annoying that the reviews for all the different formulas are mixed in together. When I was first choosing this shampoo, I read a bunch of reviews before realizing they were all reviewing different formulas, so hopefully my title saves the next person some annoyance. I recently developed eczema all over my body and needed to switch all my personal products over to fragrance-free & irritant-free versions. This formula is Fragrance-Free and has no SLS/SLES or other common irritants. And cruelty-free too, which is always a must.I have long, wavy hair that's fine and dry. I don't usually use conditioners because I finally realized they were only weighing down my hair and making it look thinner so I need a shampoo that can be used alone and still leave my hair feeling nice and this seems to be one of them. It has a moist, fluffy lather that reminded me of the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo I used many years ago. Once dry my hair felt super light, not weighed down at all. In fact, I didn't think my former shampoo was weighing my hair down until I felt how light my hair was after using this. It also looked extra shiny and felt very soft and I kept touching it even into the next day just to admire its softness! I will say this, as a potential downside: the very ends of my hair did feel slightly dry and I went back and added a few drops of a leave-in product I had on hand to the ends. So if you wash your hair every day you might want the conditioner to go with it. I can go days before needing to wash mine again, so I think I can get away with using this alone and just add a little serum or leave-in product to the ends. This leaves no scent whatsoever in my hair, it's strange how my hair can smell so clean and yet have no scent but I like it. I felt this way when I made the switch to fragrance-free laundry soap too, there's something refreshing about a lack of perfumey smell and being left with nothing but CLEAN. I like this shampoo very much, and I may even use it as a body wash too since the lather is so nice and it hasn't irritated my eczema at all.

Decent organic shampoo for "normal" to greasy hair. Not recommended for dry hair.
I ordered this unscented, organic shampoo so that I could scent it myself with aromas that aren't often found in shampoo (at least, not in the more reasonably-priced product lines that I can afford): good-quality essential oils of sandalwood, jasmine, ginger, etc. That has worked out really well: I squirt one "serving" sized amount into a bown and drop my EOs in, mix, and take to the shower. I wish I could have mixed my EOs in the squeeze tube itself in order to save time, but there really is no way to do that (no removable cap/ dispensing tip). Oh well, not a dealbreaker -- but note to the manufacturers, a removable cap would improve my satisfaction with your product! As far as the shampoo itself, it does the job. This Desert Essence shampoo is a decent quality shampoo and I appreciate that it's organic and all-natural. I have "normal" hair, meaning neither greasy nor especially dry, and I find that this shampoo does tend to leave my hair in good condition -- but perhaps just a tad on the drier side. The shampoo does leave the faint scent of the EOs on my hair, which is great for my puposes of a subtle aromatherapy effect in place of wearing actual perfume :).I don't use this shampoo every day due to the bother of having to scent each application of both shampoo and conditioner every time I use it...I tend to forget to get my EOs and bowls before I'm in the bathroom and ready to start. But that's my problem, and it did not influence my rating of the product itself.A good shampoo: I would recommend it generally.

Good quality, Very Neutral smell Works Well
As a professional spirits judge, I REALLY need a fragrance free shampoo ( and soap) to do my job. Not just for myself, but others around me. Random fragrances/scents that grim like grim death are not welcome at a tasting table. This shampoo for the bill nicely, cleaned my hair, and did not leave some chemical cloud surrounding me to throw both my and my colleagues noses off.

I wish you could buy them separately!
This has been my go-to fragrance free shampoo and conditioner for years. I have fine hair and it doesn't feel weighted. I also can't use fragranced products- but finding something that leaves my hair clean and soft is difficult. Sadly, most stores only carry the fragranced version now. A friend said she can't use it because it contains Nettle extract and she's allergic to nettles. I, fortunately, don't have the same allergy. I JUST WISH I COULD BUY THEM SEPARATELY. My husband uses the shampoo- but with short hair, not the conditioner- so yeah, we go through the shampoo faster, and I have excess conditioner not getting used ASAP. O_O

Not for me.
Was way too astringent for my hair - stripped out every last trace of oil but left it as dry as if I'd overused curling tongs on it. Nice smell though.

OK
It’s OK. But didn’t help with my psoriasis.

and without all the unnecessary smells which I tend to be allergic to
One of the few conditioners which leaves my hair well conditioned, and without all the unnecessary smells which I tend to be allergic to.

the only shampoo i can use!
literally the only shampoo that doesn't aggravate my MCAS!! it does have a very, VERY slight odor most people probably wouldn't notice, but i wouldn't call it a scent or fragrance. i think it might be aloe or some other basic component? thankfully whatever it is, it doesn't give me a reaction. i love this shampoo.
