Very nice and rugged knife
This is a great knife. I really like the blade shape, the weight and the solid fitting of the knife. This does not look or feel like a cheap knife at all and the spring assist feels really sturdy. I haven't had a chance to test the edge retention yet, but it comes almost shaving sharp. My only con so far would be that this knife is a bit too heavy to carry loose in your pocket as I can see it potentially ripping a hole in it over time. All in all, I would recommend this knife to pretty much anyone who wanted a solid, high quality, affordable edc knife.

Tip Top In Value for a Large Flip Knife
No doubt this is worth the money. It comes pretty sharp...not razor but sharp enough. It flips open very easy...my wife did it first time and it's way easier than my other knive. I haven't used it on anything heavy just a few things. I tend to baby a knive till I know it's going to stand up to a task. So far this is a great knive...its not what I'd say was lightweight. But that means that it's got some metal behind it. I guess that's a good thing. I'm pleased with the fit up and quality of its parts...it fits well into my XXL Sized hand. The clip so far seems to work good. It's a $10 knive so for that it's a very high value. No complaints at all and I question the expectations of anyone who says its poor quality in any way especially considering the price.

Heavy Duty, Sharp, Great value for money!
Great value for money. It is not a premium steel like M390 but for price honestly pretty impressed. I work as a first 1st responder and want a cheap reliable work knife that can take a beating and so far it's been great! Most of weight is in the handle.. The glass breaker probably needs to be finer point in order to offer an easier glass break but sure as someone pointed it can be grinded down with a Dremel etc. The seat belt cutter didn't cut as well as I hoped... it requires more force to make a cut but it did make a clean cut when cut was made.. his would make an awesome gift for someone who probably needs a new pocket knife and definitely someone you know that is a 1st responder!

I'm a 45 year old knife collector and I am impressed. I bought 3 knives. I would buy again
I'm happy with these knives. I ordered 3 identical and I love the size and weight and grip and sharpness. I Would buy this again as a gift and for myself. I have over 40 knives and I'm impressed for the price. No loose pieces no bad issues. I would and am recommending to buy this if u want a good pocket knife that can cut seatbelts and break widows in a car accident emergency. sI read that some people don't like the weight but I'm a man and I like the weight. Also I'm happy that the grip is an actual grip not just some carbon fiber looking grip. I want say best knives I have purchase in the past decade and I buy one every 6 months but since big 5 was closed. Also I have more issues with big 5 knives than this. If ur doubting , don't this is the one that u will be happy with. I am and so i s my family.

Initial impression is good. Not sure about the glass breaker though.
It's quite heavy, I wasn't expecting that. I had a similar knife with the window breaker and seat belt cutter, roughly the same size, mine was slightly thinner and definitely lighter. It's made in china :( but it does appear to be well made. My biggest grip, is that the window breaker isn't pointed. It's rounded. Probably a bit more than a ball point pen. So, I'm not sure how well it will break tempered glass. I might try and find a window in a junk yard and see how well it does. I will probably end up grinding it to a point though. I'll update once I get to make a determination. Not sure about the seat belt cutter, and not sure I want to try it and chance dulling the razor in case I ever need it.

Great product and Dad gift.
This product came as described. The materials it is made of are of a high quality feel. I have used this on camping trips, cook outs, and even on occasions some minor repair jobs. The edge is razor sharp and keeps it. If you need a good quality no nonsense knife that works and is sturdy than this is well worth 2-3 times the price. All of my friends that have used it want to keep it. I give them this this link every time. Great for a Dad, brother or son gift. Even better for a best friend gift.

Clip is cheep garbage
Love the knife it’s heavy and good quality, but is for the clip, well it’s cheep bends easily and doesn’t keep the knife in your pocket, I was getting out of the car and the seat belt snagged it and it bent super easily

Solid knife - multi-use rescue knife.
UPDATE: I’ve bought at least a dozen of these if not more as they are still my favorite. I keep them in my cars, in my briefcase, just different places just so I have them handy, and I still give a lot of them out to other officers and deputies I meet, and it happens to be a favorite of theirs as well.I've bought 5 or 6 of these now simply because so many other officers I meet fall in love with this knife. There are 2 main knives I carry as part of my daily uniform and Every Day Carry (EDC) and the Madera 440C is my main EDC knife, but it is with me even when I am in full uniform. It is sleek, weighty/solid feeling, has a nice blade shape for everyday use. I have a separate tactical knife as well for sawing and other types of cutting, but the 440C by Madera is by far my favorite knife so far. The light gray metal and the textured charcoal/black inlay is beautiful and has a great hand-feel. It features thumb assist to open, one-handed close operation possible with thumb spring to unlock and close blade. It also has a glass breaker point and seat-belt cutting blade built in.Like I said, I've given several away as people fawn over it, and I keep a few on hand as gifts to other officers I encounter while on patrol.I'd recommend this knife as an EDC knife but also as a functional uniform or back-up in your go-bag, vehicle or at home. Kudos to Madera!
