This was a fantastic follow-up to Rob Bell's incredible book "Love Wins." What I liked the most was the unpacking of Bell's work by another spiritual writer and then augmented with readings from other authors.Although the group discussion questions were good fuel for thought, they were awkward in practice for an individual reader like me. I did not expect this book to be geared toward a group study. After reading both "Love Wins" and this companion work you are still swayed by detractors such as those in "Erasing Hell", (which is absolutely NOT what Rob Bell has attempted to do) then you have turned a blind eye by choice to the deep exploration of how God must truly love us...all of us. One of my favorite recollections of Bell's work here is when he spoke of Jesus not having come to rescue us from God...he came to rescue us from ourselves!

This is a good discussion of contradictions in the Bible as well as various faiths. It asks great questions, and encourages the reader to find his or her own answers. He states people of all faiths can go to Heaven, even if you've never worshiped Jesus. As a Jew, I would like to see more of the Torah included, so his positions aren't so specifically Jesus-based. A good read.

nice addition
This study guide companion to 'Love Wins' is a real treat, digging deeper into the topics, themes, and minutiae of Rob Bell's now-classic book. Both the original and this companion offer up enough material to keep a reader pondering life and his or her place in it for a long time. 'The Love Wins Companion' is a great resource.

Great
Another book I got my son. And it has changed him 100%. I am sure some of you are saying yea ok. Well let me tell you. My son is a drug addict and we have been trying for years to get him to stop. Well this book and a few others have really helped. You have tp be ready to change first. After 60 days of no drugs he read this book and others and said he finally sees the light at the end. So yes it has helped him. No he cannot do it alone, he is getting help. And yes I will be buying him more of Robs books;.

Wonderful "Love Wins" Study Aid
Wow! I used this book as a companion to the book itself when I taught a course on it at my church. It was chock-full of well-thought-out discussion questions as well as readings for further study. Great supplement to any study of "Love Wins"!

An example of Jesus love
Rob Bell does the best job of any modern day pastor when it comes to explaining the love of Jesus. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Liked the book, not the companion so much
My women's bible study group is doing "Love Wins" and purchased these companions to go along with it. We agree that we really like the book, but the companion is a little overwhelming. I wish they just had the study questions at the back of the book, but I suppose they thought this would make them more money. Don't get me wrong, the additional readings & comments are pretty good, but in addition to the book reading, we have found it time consuming, and just wind up reading the questions only.
