Precision Tip Liquid Eyeliner, 222 Brown, 1 Count

It used to be called "Amazing i-Liner". I've tried other eyeliners over the years in a genuine effort to move on from this product, but they don't seem to do it for me like this does. I do believe the formula has changed, as it does take reapplication of the eyeliner to get an opaque look. While it's labeled hypoallergenic and no doubt it is, I notice fresh bottles tend to sting but leave no irritation on the skin. The applicator tip also is pretty stiff at first but once you break it in — it does work beautifully. Here's why I've kept buying this eyeliner for over 20 years: 1. A true matte finish. I've purchased "matte" eyeliners that have end up having a semi-gloss finish, or a weird sticky flakey texture. My theory is because these products attempt to waterproof the formula which sacrifice that flat matte finish. While unfortunately this Almay eyeliner isn't waterproof and therefore not smudgeproof — there's nothing a little finishing spray or eyeshadow primer can't do. I've used both with great results during swimming and gym workouts. In my opinion, I love the true matte black and don't mind it doesn't have those other properties built into to it. 2. A fantastic felt tip applicator. Something about the shape, material, length, and absorbency of this applicator works perfectly for my hooded eyelids. There are $20+ high-end eyeliners that just don't get right what this $7 drugstore eyeliner can do. Some felt tips are too long and therefore hard to control, some are a thin brush which doesn't hold as much product in one swipe. If you want to avoid breaking in the felt tip and the roughness that comes at first, I recommend just squeezing the felt tip between your fingers and gently bend it around to soften it a bit more. 3. A long-lasting amount of product. You'd be surprised how long that little "ink well" of eyeliner can last you! Usually the felt tip applicator is the first to go (after a long while of usage) before you actually run out of product. I like that Almay has kept this element of their eyeliner consistent over the years. Those are my 2 cents. Definitely will continue to buy this for years to come. :)

Easy to apply, however, you need a VERY steady hand. Easy to remove too, a bit too easy sometimes, a very watery/greasy eye will fade the color quickly. Under the right circumstances it can last a long time, it's very pigmented. I really like that the applicator is rigid. It is not irritating, good for sensitive eyes.

This eyeliner goes on smoothly, is hypoallergenic, which is great for me with my multiple allergies, and is priced affordably. Great eyeliner.

Think the product is old, the liquid color is runny and doesn’t stay applied to the eyelid. Ive been using this for years so I am not sure why the quality was so poor. I am hesitant to order this again. Waste of my money.

I love the staying power of this eyeliner and I've bought it over and over. I've got greasy eyelids and work 12-hour shifts- so my eye make up needs to last 13 hours or so AND be able to stand up to my oil, plus hot and sweaty conditions sometimes. Have I mentioned that I’m a nurse? So it’s awesome if I somehow manage to look a little professional too! This little pot of eyeliner never lets me down! It's easy to apply and easy enough to correct with a wet cotton swab for a couple minutes after application. After that, well, you’re going to have to take it off and start over I think. This eyeliner isn’t perfect and doesn’t quite make it the whole 13 hours sometimes. Sometimes I’ll get home and notice that I’ve dragged a bit of eyeliner down my face and occasionally I notice that one eye has a bit less than the other. However, I’ve never found another eyeliner that gets closer to what I need, and I’ve tried plenty. This really is a great little eyeliner. I’m taking 1 star off because sometimes my eyelids burn with the initial application and if I wipe off the eyeliner I can see that my eyelid is also bright pink where it was applied. The burning doesn’t last for more than a second or two, and I don’t have further irritation throughout the day. I do an oil cleanser at the end of the day and it comes off easily.

I have worn liquid eyeliner for most of my adult life and Almay is by far the easiest to put on. It is very smooth, the precision tip of the brush makes a perfect line every time.

This liquid eyeliner has been the only one I have used for at least 15 years. The black color is the blackest of black, the finish is pure matte, and as long as you apply it properly, it goes on smooth and NEVER flakes. It is the ONLY liner that holds up to my oily eyelids (I don't always like to use primer). The felt tip gives the ultimate level of control and precision, whether I want thick or thin lines, and the "inkwell" container always worked well for me. I use this liner everyday and can get a good 4-5 months use from it. It's the best liquid liner at such a great price. Although, I love this liner to death, the bottle and applicator aren't as weighty in the hand now and have a somewhat cheaper feel. Maybe they're trying to decrease the amount of plastic in their packaging so I guess that's OK. Now, about the formula, their liner used to last a whole day PLUS all night of wear up until the next day. Since maybe about 4 or 5 years ago it seems to last all day and only a small part of the night, then it needs a bit of fixing and refreshing. This liner still beats any other liquid liner out there except for maybe its own past formula. I don't know if they really did change it, but it just seems that way to me. All that aside, the ONLY reason I am giving 3 stars and not 5 is because I recently purchased the liner and without even opening it yet, saw a clear brownish liquid leaking from the bottle. I requested a replacement (Amazon said I didn't have to send the original one back) and what I received had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I know they didn't just send the same one back to me because I still have the original one I purchased. After receiving that second one, I opened the first one to see if the brown stuff was really coming from the bottle. The bottle contained the black liquid liner so I still don't know what that brown sticky liquid is and where it came from. I really hope this isn't a problem with Almay's liquid eyeliner now, because I don't want to put it anywhere near my eyes after seeing that brown stuff and not knowing what it is.

As soon as applied I had to remove immediately, as I have very sensitive allergy reaction to some ingredients used in cosmetics. This was an immediate allergy reaction! The only one I can use is Clinique. I was keen to find an alternative, unfortunately it didn’t work. Same reaction with mascara and eye pencil

I do not generally wear makeup on my face. When I do, this product lasts all day. Whether you prefer a fine line or thicker this liner looks and works great to suit your own preference .

I love this eyeliner so much that when drugstores stopped carrying it, I found it online... I have tried a ton of other brands but I either hate the quality of the liquid OR the shape of the brush. This is the only one that works for me. The brush is the perfect shape of sponge, making it SO easy to apply in the mornings. Seriously! I never mess up. It tends to give a bit of a thicker line than some might like but I would rather think and even than thin and messy.

Batalló mucho para encontrar delineadores que no manchen y transfieran hacia el párpado inmóvil ya que tengo el párpado caído y graso.... me sorprendió mucho que efectivamente No transfiere, no se corre, es de larga duración, aún cuando sudo y hago ejercicio no se corre. Si tallas tus ojos y estás sudada obvio se correra, pero si no tocas tus ojos se queda intacto. La punta NO es tipo brocha, es como un marcador de texto, es un poco dura pero a mi me ayuda a aplicarlo más fácilmente No le doy 5 estrellas porque tengo la piel sensible y al aplicarlo me arde por unos segundos el párpado... inmediatamente se quita la sensación y no deja irritado ni rojeces. Me gusta mucho, no he encontrado nada a ese precio con resultados comparables. Lo seguiré usando a pesar de lo del ardor momentaneo
