Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy Powder, Strawberry Lime, 9.5 Oz

I mostly use this to replace coffee. It can work as a preworkout too, but I use a different brand for that. The two flavors I love the most are the Strawberry Lime and the Watermelon ones. I like to add more water so it doesn't taste as sweet.

I’ve been using the Optimum Nutrition Essential Amino Energy in the Strawberry Lime flavor, and it’s been excellent. It dissolves super easily with just a few shake, no clumps at all. The flavor is surprisingly good, refreshing, not too sweet, and really enjoyable. I also feel a nice, clean energy boost without jitters, which makes it perfect before workouts or even during a long day. Highly recommend!

I ordered this because I joined a gym and I needed something extra to help me have energy and help me wake up because I am NOT a morning person. Unfortunately, I am not feeling well enough to go to the gym and then I'm going on vacation so I can't try it out before a workout until next week. But I wanted to just try it and see how it tasted and how I felt. It says to take 2 scoops for a a "Mild Workout" and then go up to an "Intermediate Workout." I'm just working today as usual, so I did not even a half of the small scoop that came with the powder and within ten minutes, I felt more awake (which is a miracle for me in the mornings) I have more energy and I actually feel like my mood is better! I ordered the Strawberry-Lime and it tastes great! It reminds me of Crystal Light powder. So for the first try today, I really like it! I will come back and update my review when I can actually try it and go workout!

Ok! So... I buy this brand often but only ever buy the watermelon flavor. Super yummy by the way. However, strawberry is my favorite fruit so thought I would give the strawberry-lime a try. Thinking may be it'll taste like a margarita? Nope. It smells excellent when opening but drinking this flavor I have to just chug it fast. The only way I can describe it is, it tastes like the smell of Pledge. Yes, the dusting product. Definitely does not taste how it smells in the container. This is a great brand, O.N. and does the job for me but I can't wait to be done with this flavor!

I wasn't sure I would like this but let me just say, it is incredible. It gives energy, mental clarity and it doesn't taste bad. I bought the strawberry-lime to begin with but like the green apple better. I've also tried the grape and that is pretty decent as well. I have gotten slightly jittery on this product when I've consumed 20 ounces in a relatively short amount of time. Normally I drink 20 oz. over the course of 4 hours or so during my 3rd shift job. I will typically consume 8-10 ounces before and during a workout and they go so much better when I use this product. The powder is ultra-fine so sometimes when pouring the powder into a water bottle (even a wide bottle) it can cause Amino dust storms and it can cause a chalky look on black clothing if it comes in contact and doesn't brush off without leaving the chalky look - however, this is minor and just something to be aware of before you try to mix it at your desk wearing all black!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good quality and mixes just as well as expensive brands. Pros: great value. Cons: powder gets airborne easily.
