Do you know the size of the bracket at the top please? And another model did not fit as I have only 5cm of space above my door before ceiling

From the lower edge to the top of the curved section is at least 8cm so in the situation you're describing you don't have enough room above the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket itself has a vertical height of 3cm. with the curved section being 5cm. Hope this helps.

It sits in a too far a back position, so does not fit into the hook properly, i can't see how this would work once installed, please help? Thank you

For me too, so I had to pack the back of the assembly with a thin piece of material - I used some felt which is sold to pad the underside of furniture feet and fixed through it. It works well now.
