Amelia Bedelia Bakes Off (I Can Read Level 2)

If you are already familiar with Amelia Bedelia than this review probably isn’t for you. For those who read it growing up and don’t remember or are new to these genre of books than read on. I was suprised at how mean the Rogers are to Amelia. Don’t get me wrong. They make Amelia so “slow” that she can’t accomplish the most simple of tasks. For me the problem lies in not wanting my children to 1.) not try and purposely do something wrong and 2.) be rude to those who may be slower or not understanding. Maybe others will not have these problems. Neither of my children 6 and 4 enjoyed these books. My 6 year old couldn’t understand why Amelia was so clueless and why the Rogers were so “mean”. It was hard for my children and other from the library to find humor in any of the situation Amelia found herself in. Do yourself a favor and if interested, borrow from the library first! That way you don’t waste your money!

Another great book with Amelia Bedelia. This time she gets to help in a bakery and in following the very clear, somewhat nonsensical (to Amelia that is) directions, the usual chaos ensues. All ends well as she whips up a surprise and unwittingly enters a baking contest. Easy enough to read for 2nd grade level.

Amelia Bedilia one of my all time favorite children's characters. She is a wonderful, cheerful character who is always willing to lend a hand - oops, did I say that? What I meant to say is that she is always ready help out. You've got to be careful how you word your reqursts to Amelia, because she does everything exactly as it is spoken. As you can imagine, that sometimes causes a great deal of commotion. Any Amelia story would be a delight for young readers and young non-readers alike - they are very cute for adults, too.

Amelia Bedelia stories are so fun! My 4 year old niece loves them!

These books are awesome. Alll Amelia Bedilia is great. Not a bad idea to use these with children who have high funtioning autism. Since with autism, children take things litterally, this book will challange the child to understand figurative and double meanings of phrases. Also, it's quite adorable for everyone.

Amelia Bedelia never ceases to delight with her kooky antics.She's good at making messes but in the end always gets things right.Funny, innocent and delightful, Amelia's adventures have delighted children for a long time and still do.Your child will love this book and want to read it over and over again.Genuine kid- sized humour, but adults love Amelia Bedelia too.

My daughter love baking story but she get bore with this on because with long name that we have to read over over again "Amelia Bedelia"

This is a good buy Grandaughter can now read it herself and Loves Amelia Bedelia. Great stories for little gorls

Bought this for my student I was working with to help improve her reading and comprehension. We both loved the story. Amelia always makes us laugh.

Book took way too long to arrive as my order was mixed up with another customer’s. Book was in perfect condition.

I am 7 years old, almost 8 and I loved it!!I loved when she cooked the bed cake, a lot!
