Bold and Beautiful - We Love It!
We needed to find a coffee to replace our beloved Trader Joe's Bay Blend and French Roast that are no longer available. We tried several different dark roasts, but none measured up. This Extra Dark Italian roast is the WINNER for us. This roaster is very conscientious about its product and the price fits our budget at just $27 for a 2.2 lb. bag. The beans are beautifully dark, oily, and very rich in aroma and the resulting coffee is just what we were looking for. Our search is over and we love this coffee!

Great deal
We use this with our Philips Latte Go machine and the flavor is perfect. The coffee is strong without that burnt flavor. It's a great price for the value.

One of the best dark roasts for the money.
Tried this on a recommended coffee to me while searching. Whole bean offering has a wonderful aroma when you open the bag every morning. Grinds well, little static with conical grind as the natural coffee bean oils remained through their roasting and production process. However, this isn’t always a mark of freshness, stale coffee can develop a rancid, acidic flavor while retaining a beautiful oily sheen. This was not the case, and every cup was consistent and flavorful. The only downside I would give for this coffee was the bag. Initially, I held the beans in the bag and rolled it closed with a spring clip on top. After I ground roughly a little more than half the bag, I did notice flavor change in the coffee and the beginning of higher acidity in the flavor profile. With a bag this size, this is not uncommon, in the future I will keep the unground beans in an airtight container before use.

Good Coffee When You Can Get It
I love the flavor. It is rich and bold. However, several times I have had to cancel the order because of going days without receiving it. It is always advertised as next day but just an FYI, it may not happen.
