Nordic Ware Pineapple Upside Down Cake Pan, 9 Cup

LOVE this cake pan! Cake never sticks and comes out beautiful every time.

First I made the Pineapple Upsidedown recipe that was listed for the pan. Today I baked a lemon cake using this pan. Both bakes turned out wonderfully! Both slid easily out of the pan. Additionally, It's such a good pan because you can easily divide the cake into individual pieces which you can serve or freeze! Buy this pan quickly and start baking!

My son's favorite cake and I have had trouble making them for years. I've seldom been able to transfer them from the baking dish I made them in onto a serving plate without breaking them apart. This pan made the job effortless. His last birthday cake was beautifully turned out, with pineapple slices and cherries, perfectly spaced and no broken parts. And one box of cake mix was just enough to fill it.

My sister wanted a pineapple upside down cake for her birthday. It is the size of a standard round, one layer - which is fine......but - not that it really matters - fit the fresh pineapple from Hawaii - it is more of the size you find in the cans, or the small pineapples you find sometimes in the grocery stores--- but the Hawaiian pineapples besides being oh so good (and there is a difference than others) are huge. For the price of the pan, it is a good pan, I plan to keep it and look into more Nordic products - it is a good pan just disappointed it does not fit the Hawaiian pineapples. Oh well - time to get creative.

This is a great pan. Nothing stuck. I would beware of using metal knives and utensils on it as the coating could scratch. I do handwash it as well. I would like to knock a start off for the recipe that it comes with. Nordic ware has changed the recipe since my mom bought her pan several years ago. My mom's recipe is definitely better than the one that comes on the label for this pan. I wouldn't use buttermilk like the recipe calls for. If you can get your hands on the old recipe or your grandmother's recipe- do that. The pan itself is cute and the cake came right out. Love the color!

This is a lighter weight pan than the other Nordic Ware cake pans I have. But it performs beautifully. I used the pineapple upside down cake recipe from the "Kiss My Bundt" cookbook I also purchased from Amazon. The book & the cake are both amazing. One small warning - the recipe in "Kiss My Bundt" makes a lot of batter. You will have some extra batter after you fill the cake pan 3/4 full. So I made 2 individual size cakes with the remaining batter, I served the cake with whipped cream; my husband skipped the whipped cream & poured a little rum on his cake. Happy baking!

Another fine cake pan from Nordicware. So easy to use and love the light mint green color. Goes perfectly with my mid century modern kitchen. Wish they were cheaper but you truly do get what you pay for.

Using the recipe included with the pan resulted in batter overflowing the pan. In addition the cake batter was gooey even when it was done. I’m going back to using my heavier duty nordicware cast aluminum Bundt cake for pineapple upside down and a different recipe. Also pan was chipped when I got it and now it has more chips. Color is cute and cake does release easily but that’s it, at least for my experience.
