Best for the pouch cat toys, fruit are hard and fairly large for eating.
I ground one (more like pounded it) up in a mortar bowl to try it on a plate and the larger pieces I put inside a pouch raccoon or similar toy (two I have already). Note I tried to pound up a second and it wouldn’t break apart at all. Tried softening it in water and rinsed the bowl into the cat dry food and one cat loved that! Softening didn’t help.Several of my cats do respond including ones that aren’t much interested in catnip leaves. I grow my catnip but with all the rain in California right now it’s muddy and nearly picked out so I needed something to help my indoor cats not be too bored. The toys got some play, will see how long the smell keeps their interest! Thought breaking it might help not sure it did.I don’t see this as a Great deal cost wise, see photo on size with scale reference in inches behind the package. I decided to try this instead of it ground because it can be placed in a toy and discarded when no longer an interesting smell. The dried catnip no longer works on my cats and they do need a play stimulant. Also only half my cats like the catnip anyway even the fresh leaves. The ones who do respond to catnip love it, the others don’t care at all (it is by litter so obviously genetic as I have three different litters represented in my six cats).

Great for cats sensitive to gall fruit
First, it is important to note that not all cats react to gall fruit, just like not all cats react to catnip or silvervine. That said, it does not need to be processed to form a toy, like catnip, nor does it break apart, like silvervine. Some cats will play with it because they can bat it around. I've yet to see cats chip into the dried fruit. You can drill a hole in it with an electric drill and saw off bits of it with a fresh box cutter blade, but fangs and claws won't damage it.I also like the quality of the gall fruit. It actually looks fresh. You can particularly tell that it is fresh because after they've been played with for several months their bright color turns dull.

Good! Just supervise your cats and hold the fruit
Great just monitor your cats with them to prevent choking. I prefer to hold onto these balls while my cat rubs on them because he wants to eat them. It’s great for stimulation just beware that you have to be present anytime one of these is out. My cat that doesn’t react to catnip or silver vine reacts to this! They are durable my cat has tried chewing on them a number of times but nothing has broke.

A bit pricey but they love it
I would buy a lot more of this if it wasn't so pricey. The cats love these!!

Amazing catnip alt!
My cat's love this brand! The smell of these they enjoy better than catnip. Plus, no mess after making it a good value for the money. They are similar to the sticks. You can increase the longevity of them simply by cutting or grinding into them a bit. This function will release the smell similar to when it's being chewed.

Cat crack
My kitties loved this stuff but me not so much. I was very concerned about choking Hazzard. Also a few of my kitties salivate A LOT and 2 had diarrhea the next day. I ended up crushing mine to put INSIDE their catnip toys

Cats LOVE these! My feet do not!
Multiple cats fight over who gets to play with, lick, chew, and sit on these dried "fruits".They are pretty firm. By pretty firm I mean to say they are basically organic Legos and will destroy your barefoot in the dark just like a real one. Fear not! The cats will invariably find the kicked/thrown/sworn at 'lego' to play with (and leave in your path once again).Pros:reasonable pricehold up wellseem stronger than catniplots of play timedoes really well in treat ball or hidden in a toyCons:may damage your feetone cat became a jerk and would walk up to the others randomly and "punch" them in the face or behind*(not the usual play or behavior, though entertaining to watch)Did I mention they feel like Legos under bare feet?

Drives cats BONKERS <3
I tossed one to the stray who hangs around my house and she went absolutely bonkers. All 4 of my indoor cats love it, as well, and seem to have more fun for a lot longer than catnip! 10/10 would highly recommend!!
