Excellent Quality for Baking and Beverages
I bought this matcha powder for my husband, who loves making matcha lattes and using it in baking, and it has quickly become a staple in our kitchen. The quality is exceptional — the vibrant green color shows just how fresh and pure it is. It has a fine, smooth texture that makes it easy to work with and mix into drinks or recipes. In terms of functionality, it performs perfectly for a variety of uses. The flavor is rich and smooth with a slightly sweet, earthy undertone that isn’t too bitter — a common issue we’ve found with other matcha powders. It blends effortlessly into both hot and cold beverages, making it ideal for lattes, iced drinks, and smoothies. The powder dissolves completely without clumping, which makes preparation quick and easy, especially for someone who enjoys making a matcha latte every morning. We’ve also experimented with using it in baking, and the flavor holds up beautifully in cakes, cookies, and even energy balls. It adds an authentic matcha flavor without overpowering the other ingredients, providing just the right balance. The functionality of this powder extends beyond just drinks — it’s great for anyone who loves incorporating matcha into a variety of recipes. The powder itself is finely ground, ensuring it mixes seamlessly, and a little goes a long way. Its quality and versatility make it perfect for all our cooking and drink-making needs, and it’s priced well for the value you get.Overall, this matcha powder exceeds our expectations in both quality and functionality. It’s versatile, high-quality, and adds a wonderful flavor to anything it’s used in. If you enjoy matcha in your daily routine or like to bake with it, I highly recommend this product.

Delicious, versatile, healthy, and ENERGIZING!
Let me start by saying that I'm a bit of a tea snob. I've traveled around Asia and tried dozens of local and traditional teas there. I've also tried countless qualities of teas (Teavana, homemade, etc.) and middle-grade, supermarket-brand teas. I drink iced tea, black tea, hibiscus tea, mint tea, peppermint tea, etc., etc., etc. Out of all of the tea I've tried in my life, this is by far one of the most versatile, health-beneficial, and energizing teas I've ever drank. While this isn't the most delicious tea when drank on its own (its still yummy but needs a hint of sweetness to cut the slight bitterness), it's still very enjoyable. I prepare mine with an electric mixer and I LOVE how light and frothy it gets. Add in a splash of milk and a dollop of honey, and it makes an awesome latte. I can't wait to try it in recipes (i.e. protein shakes and baked goods) and in other drink forms. As a fair warning, though, it has a very earthy, grassy taste, so the taste, albeit smooth and light, may not be for everyone, especially when trying it the first time. Give it a few tries though--it'll grow on you!My favorite part about this tea is that it's almost immediately energizing after just one serving. It's an uplifting, steady kind of energy--not the "jittery" energy you get from drinking a lot of coffee. I feel more clear-minded and focused, and my mood perks up. I got my family hooked on this stuff, too, just for the energy and mood boost. It's just a great way for us to start the day. :) Combine this with all of the other healthand weight loss benefits matcha offers in the long-term, and you've got a drink that's worth drinking just for its energizing and health qualities alone. Another fair warning though: do NOT drink this at night if you plan on going to bed. I drank some at 2 pm and I couldn't fall asleep until 1 am.A few other important qualities of this particular tea: it's made in Kyoto, Japan, has been tested for radiation (there is not detectable levels), and is certified USDA organic. In conclusion, TRY THIS TEA. :) I highly recommend it.

Underwhelming
I am pretty new to the matcha game and only put it in smoothies and lattes, so I stick to "culinary grade". I have been searching for a good culinary grade matcha that is reasonably priced because I use it quite a bit. I've bought 4 different ones from Amazon, and this is how I rank them, from worst to best:4. Matcha Outlet: https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Japanese-Matcha-Ryori-Powder/dp/B08NXRP67J/ref=sr_1_136?dchild=1&keywords=matcha&qid=1626028637&sr=8-136Pretty bad. A ton of matcha for super cheap though. $1.83/oz.3. Matcha Wellness (this product). Brownish/yellowish and does not dissolve well. $6.57/oz.2. Ito En: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K9PJ4LB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailsClearly superior to the Matcha Wellness. Darker, richer green color and easier to dissolve. $5/oz.1. Aprika Life: https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Japanese-Matcha-Green-Powder/dp/B07DJ1KVDP/ref=sr_1_26?dchild=1&keywords=matcha&qid=1626028556&sr=8-26Good quality stuff for a good price. Rich dark green color, very easily dissolved, delicious taste (in lattes, at least). $6.43/oz.If you want a good culinary grade matcha, stick with either Aprika Life or Ito En—both are cheaper than this product (Matcha Wellness) and definitely better quality.
