Small, cheap, and does exactly what I needed
I bought this mainly so I could take it with me when I need to work on the go, and honestly, itโs been great for that. Itโs small enough that I can throw it in a bag without feeling like Iโm lugging a brick around, but the screen is still big enough to actually get work done. Itโs a Chromebook, so I knew going in that I wasnโt buying some powerhouse computer. For emails, browsing, documents, and the basic stuff I need while Iโm away from my desk, though, it does the job just fine. I also really like that itโs a touchscreen and folds around, so I can use it a few different ways depending on what Iโm doing. For what I paid for a renewed one, I really canโt complain. Itโs basically my little โI donโt want to bring my good laptop with meโ laptop. ๐ If you need something inexpensive and portable for basic work, this has been a really good buy for me.

Descent product. Missing part of charger half the time.
I ordered 1 at first to see how they were. It worked sufficiently for my needs so I ordered 3 more for the kids. Unfortunately 2 of the units came without the USB adapter piece for the charger. This is super frustrating when you have 4 kids trying to charge at night. I have contacted the seller and have not heard back yet. Will update if/when I do. *Update* Sellers reached out to resolve the issue right away. No complaints on my end.

Definitely not "like new" as described, but functional and will do in a pinch
***Update: I amended this review from three stars to one star, because a couple of weeks after I posted this initial review, my computer simply stopped working. It will turn on, but I get a plain black screen. With all the other issues I was having, I simply decided this was not worth the hassle and returned it. I will also note that I didn't mention it in my initial review, but this whole process also included another purchase of the same item that was for some reason flagged as undeliverable during shipping, so I never received that one. It's just become a massive headache that's already worth more than $80 in my time and energy, so I opted to simply return the computer. The return process was easy at least, but I will not be buying refurbished electronics on Amazon again. I'm leaving my original review below for posterity.*** I bought this computer advertised in "like new" condition for around $75. I wasn't expecting miracles, but there are a couple things I have an issue with enough to give a 3 star review. They're not a big enough deal to request a refund (again, $75 computer here...I feel like going through the process of requesting a return/replacement is more of hassle), but not great. If this had been advertised for its actual condition, I still might have bought it, but I'd be giving it a much better rating. Biggest one is that in my "like new" computer, the track pad is wonky. It sometimes catches clicked down in a way I can feel if I click too far to the bottom left, and I have yet to be able to successfully highlight anything because the drag is weird. Neither of these are a huge deal for the way I plan to use this computer (especially because the touch screen does work fine so worst case I just highlight by touch), but it's less than I expected based on the listing. The other is that my computer arrived dirty, which I wasn't surprised by as other reviewers have mentioned it, but it was kind of disappointing. I don't think it was anything particularly gross, but there was a goopy smear on one of the device's silver-colored hinges that was rather off-putting, along with a spray of dried droplets on the screen. Probably just grease or oil and the residue of cleaner, but let's just say I cleaned the whole thing thoroughly before I used it. Overall, though, I just needed a really cheap computer to get me through a couple weeks, and this fits the bill. It runs fine other than the trackpad issue, comes with a decent charger, set up easily, all that good stuff. Just, you know, be aware that you're definitely getting what you're paying for!

My Experience with the Lenovo 300e Chromebook (Renewed): A Practical Review
I picked up this Lenovo 300e Chromebook as a secondary device, something I could toss in my bag for on-the-go tasks without worrying about my more expensive laptop. And honestly? It's been surprisingly useful. Use Cases: The "Coffee Shop Companion": I often find myself wanting to escape the home office and get some work done at a local cafe. This Chromebook is perfect for that. It's lightweight, the battery lasts long enough for a few hours of work, and it's great for writing emails, browsing the web, and even some light document editing. The 2-in-1 design comes in handy when I just want to read an article or watch a quick video while sipping my latte. Travel Buddy: I recently took a short trip, and this Chromebook was ideal. It's small enough to fit easily in my carry-on, and it's great for staying connected, checking flight details, and even watching a movie on the plane. I also let my child use it for some light games, and the touch screen was perfect for that. Kitchen Recipe Reader: I've found myself using this chromebook in the kitchen. The 2 in 1 feature allows it to sit on the counter like a tablet, and display recipes while I cook. I don't have to worry about getting my main laptop dirty. Simple Task Machine: Let's be real, sometimes you just need a device for simple tasks. Checking email, browsing social media, watching YouTube โ this Chromebook handles all of that with ease. It's also great for letting the kids use for schoolwork or simple games without worrying about them messing up my main computer. My Personal Take: Yes, it's a renewed device, so there are a few minor scratches. But honestly, for the price, I'm not complaining. It's not a powerhouse, so don't expect to run demanding applications or play high-end games. But for everyday tasks, it's more than adequate. The Chrome OS is simple and intuitive, which is a plus for me. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I just want something that works. I have had no charging issues, and the battery life has been acceptable for my needs. Overall: If you're looking for a budget-friendly, portable device for everyday tasks, the Lenovo 300e Chromebook (Renewed) is worth considering. It's not perfect, but it's a solid little machine that gets the job done.

Great Christmas Gifts
My kids wanted "laptops" for Christmas, but I wasn't spending a lot. Or buying anything too fancy. They are young, so they didn't need anything more than something to watch YouTube and play some games. These were perfect for that. I bought two of them. Both looked like they were new and in great condition. I charged them up and set them all up so they could use them first thing Christmas morning. I was able to set them up under the Family Link app and I can control most settings straight from my phone. Screen time, app downloads, locking/unlocking the device and much more. The kids also loved them and love the fact that they are touchscreen as well. They like being able to fold it over and use it as a tablet. The reason for the 4 stars was because one of the laptops doesn't hold a charge nearly as long as the other. That battery dies almost twice as fast as the other and the charging port is a bit finiky. It is a renewed item, so it's not surprising to me that this is an issue. It happens with cell phones all the time. We just make sure to plug it in nightly and keep a cord nearby if it dies while in use. Other than that, we've not had any issues using it for what we purchased it for.

Third Lenovo 300e - Still Going Strong: Touchscreen, KidโFriendly
This is our third Lenovo 11.6" 300e Chromebook, and the kids love it. If you want something simple that works for school, browsing, streaming, and everyday tasks, this is it. The kids love that it's a touchscreen with a 2-in-1 hinge, which makes it easy to switch between laptop and tablet modesโperfect for homework or watching videos on the couch. I'll be using this third one for my small business and may upgrade sometime in the future. For now, I highly recommend this product while it's still available. Note: We bought the first two over a year ago, and they are still running strong. It's lightweight and easy to set up. Touchscreen + 2-in-1 is very versatile. It delivers good everyday performance thanks to the MediaTek chip, has a sturdy build, and is kid-friendly. The sound is okay.
