Kenwood electric tin opener.
This opener does take a bit of fiddling about to put the thing together at first, but, when it's clicked on you can keep the attachment on and out of the way after use. Depending on what workspace you have in your kitchen, our twin plugs are right by the fridge, it doesn't have far to travel the cord measures about 2.5-3 feet long when it's fully extended, and it can be folded back into the machine, but, there is no room for the plug to go inside as well, so, you need to make allowances for that for storage. The magnet is OK and stays put when it attaches to the lid of your tin, you only need to push the lever down slightly and it starts rotating, YOU NEED TO HOLD THE TIN UNDERNEATH, to stop if from dropping down and spilling the contents everywhere, unlike the video demonstration, my first attempt with tinned tomatoes ended up getting very messy, so, you have to watch what you're doing, it takes only a matter of a few seconds to slice the lid off, so, you need to be ready, and the machine will automatically stop when the lid is detached. I had difficulty in trying to open square shaped tins like Spam and Corned Beef, it obviously prefers circular ones, but, will cut through most things if you persevere. The bottle opener and knife sharpener are nice touches, a bit gimmicky some may say, especially, if you have separate tools already in your kitchen drawer for doing both jobs. The machine is fairly sturdy, it's about 9 inches high and 5 inches in width for storage purposes. It works OK so far, very handy for folks with arthritis and other handling problems, it takes the strain out of turning a manual tin opener every day, well done Kenwood, it's now indispensable in our kitchen.

Best electric tin opener
Brilliant product sturdy , extremely easy to use, reasonably quiet and very quick. I love the added bottle opener and knife sharpener (extremely handy)I have disabilities that mean I'm unable to use a reguar tin opener. This electric tin opener is a game changer for me. Its brilliant. And I really love the fact that opens the tin as a regular tin opener would. Instead of taking the whole top off, leaving some very sharp edges.I highly recommend this for anyone, but wspecially for those with disabilities 10/10

Very fast can opener - the best I've ever used
Although I don't open many conventional tin food cans - most seem to have a ring-pull top these days - this is by a long way the best (and certainly the fastest0 can opener I've ever owned. It is very white and neat, with a small footprint. It opens cans very easily, the operating lever is very light to use - and as it is also very tall, so I'd guess it could open some very big sized cans indeed, although as a domestic user I've never bought a catering sized can myself. The can lid is held safe and secure when the cutting stops and it isn't too noisy in operation. I don't think it is cheap but I do think it is very good value, considering its performance. I just wish I could have purchased this years ago.Highly recommended.

Ease of use
Bought a normal tin opener that said easy to use and reading the reviews so bought it to replace the old standard one that decided after years of trouble free hard work to retire and the new one my wife hasnt the strength in her hands to break the tins seal so bought this perfect easy to to use and clean will be getting another for the mother inlaw

Second CAP70 model to fail just after 2 years light use.
Until this morning this would have a 5 star review. Unfortunately it is no longer working. To add insult to injury I find the 2 year warranty ran out a month ago!On the basis that we only used the opener 2 or 3 times a week, at most, this mean the opener had a lifespan of 250 to 350 tins opened. I'd expect better from a Kenwood. As this was bought to replace a previous identical model that broke, again just after two years use. So this review is really a comment on both CAP70.A0WH models.I hope there isn't some built in 'fail at 24+ months' obsolescense in these openers!Great while they worked but disappointing lifespan, especially as the 2021 opener was bought only after the previous similar Kenwood opener had lasted over 10 years! This second failed model means I'm not sure whether to risk another Kenwood or switch brands.

Feels sturdy and good value
Purchased to replace an old long lived one. Which never felt sturdy and often didn't work, but somehow lasted years. This new one feels a lot sturdier and the clamping mechanism easier to use. Havent had long enough to give 5 stars but I think it's probably almost there
