This is my favorite hat. The color, the feel, and the little pocket inside to hide my key when I'm out on a ride or run. I have several Melin hats now, but this is the first time I got one off Amazon. Easy to wash by hand BUT i learned the hard way not to toss them in the washer machine as the front side now has a permanent crease. Oops! It floats and i really like that they have a little piece on the bill to put your thumb so you don't get your hat grimy if you have dirty hands.

These really are thoughtfully designed and beautifully constructed caps. The color was awesome. I can see why so many people love them. Sadly, though, I had to return mine due to the inexplicable inclusion of an insignia/thumbhold on the underside of the brim. When wearing the cap, my eye was continuously drawn to the thumbhold (which is raised a few millimeters). Not only was this distracting, it literally gave me a headache and made the cap unwearable for me. I know that this has been a problem for others, as well, to the point that many choose to remove the thumbhold (leaving an ugly mark on the underside of the brim). The inclusion of this "feature" seems to me to be a "solution searching for a problem" (does anyone really worry about a thumb sweat stain beneath their brim from taking off their cap?) that actually ruins the cap. I'd suggest it be deleted. The second flaw is that the brim is too small. For adults with normal to large heads, it simply doesn't do the job shading the face as it is too narrow. For a smaller person or perhaps a female, this is probably actually a great fit, but for me and my average male head and face, it is far too narrow.

Love the style and fit you will see this all over the place. Maybe some of your buddies already have them. You will need one too.

I am a super picky hat guy, I have a small head and on top of that its shaved. Most hats are designed for people with hair so there's a lot of excess airspace above my head typically. This hat while it comes in Small still has the same height profile as a regular hat. So while it fits my head perfect in circumference it still a bit too tall for my head to fill the front of the hat. It could be just how they style their hats since the front of the hat has a pocket on the inside. If my head did fill this space I image I couldn't use the pocket. While I have these gripes so to say, I am actually super happy with it. The side profile of the hat is perfect and while the front is tall for my liking it doesn't come off bad. I did try the Melin Odyssey before the A Game and It was a little too point for my preference but its a good cross between a typical trucker and a baseball cap. As for the quality, its the best I have ever seen. I go through hats every 4-6 months. After a while of washing them from sweat from the South Texas heat or the salt of the beach they break down very quickly. I look forward to seeing how this handles its but I haven't seen anything with this type of fabric and thickness of material and typically the only hat that handles sweat stains are hiking hats that are designed to get wet. Still those tend get wrinkles and begin to lose their form. Overall I am loving the hat, the fit, the quality. Maybe a few months from now I'll come back and append my review with whatever arises but right now I am thinking I will be a life long Melin hat wearer from now on. TLDR; -Amazing quality -Good for small bald heads -A little taller than a typical baseball hat or dad hat -I am gonna buy more

Melin has changed the sizing. I bought this to replace one I have worn daily for 2 years now, but I spilled paint on it.. This new one is way smaller. Really sad as I have a very large head and was so excited to find this brand.

I really wanted to like this hat. However, so far it has been a disappointment. The construction is great and design is great! I like that is can breath and keep my head cool. I am sweat a lot and burn through hats due to this. The hat is overpriced in my opinion and could be more comfortable. It’s a nice hat, don’t get me wrong. But I tried another brand this is a lot more comfortable and a third of the price. It has a lot of the same features but is overall a better feel on my head.
