I suspect that you received a defective bottle. Mine opened very easily, very little pressure with just two fingers.

Try pulling up on it gently as you twist it in the direction of the arrow. If no arrow go clockwise and pull up. Occasionally you get one that doesn't pop up at all and just spins.
