Keratin Color Permanent Hair Color

It took me a while to find this product, I've tried a lot of the affordable do-it-at-home brands and they were a disaster. The good: This product is affordable, doesn't stain the skin, doesn't stain the tub, easy to use, right consistency, perfect color, covers grays 100%. You get a generous quantity of the product (I have medium-long thick wavy hair and there's enough product to cover everything, and more). The espresso color is very natural, it's the darkest brown before it's black, so it doesn't have the metallic cold sheen that black does The smell isn't deadly, it's tolerable. The pre-treatment for dry ends is my favorite part, and the conditioner smells very good and seems to be a good quality. The bad: The gloves that come with the product are very krappy. They don't provide with eyewear arms protectors (an absolute must for all Home kits). The product (as expected) will stain fabric and plastic eyewear.

Love the product, easy to use, and great turnout. I would say if your hair is two-toned, the lighter parts will take the color more. The overcolor is beautiful, a lot darker than I expected but I know it will wash and fade lighter so I'm not upset! I will be repurchasing when it comes time to dye my hair again! 💕

My favourite colour. Been using this one for a few years now, it's so exceptionally lovely. The perfect reddish glow in the sunlight, and the colour lasts for many months before fading. I usually only have to colour my hair every 3-4 months, but I'm going to start doing it more regularly bc I'm getting a few greys lol. This colour covers the greys completely by the way! :) This colour does bleed, but it's nothing too dramatic. Just keep a dedicated towel that you use only for drying your hair with. I use a dark brown towel and you can't see any stains on it at all.

I am impressed. This permanent hair dye delivers beautiful, rich color and a true salon-quality experience right at home. The shade 4.0 Cappuccino matched the model photo exactly—no surprises, just the warm, dimensional tone I was hoping for. The scent alone feels elevated; it has that recognizable high-end beauty salon aroma you find in a salon in Beverly Hills. Results exceeded my expectations in every way. Color payoff, coverage, and overall finish were outstanding. Highly recommended if you want professional-looking results without the salon price tag.

update: Most unfortunately and Im devastated as the color was great , but ever since this process my natural curls have disappeared… to what is now straightish frizz and bog hair . Even with the best of the best of curl products, im still in shock that only a curling iron will give my hair any definition, and it doesn’t hold for more than an hour.. After 10 years of japanese straightening, I had finally embraced and was loving my curls -and now they are gone.. and it’s not like my hair is pretty straight and pretty.. it’s everything but , apparently in order to reverse the damage , i cant treat or use any hot tools, or all the expensive “fixes” I bought because it never occured to me this color treatment was the culprit- not product buildup, not hormones.. I didn’t need to buy a brand new hair blower with a diffuser, and all of these curl enhancing products by Moroccan oil, no matter what I do until this grows out my hairdresser told me I am stuck in limbo and not the fun kind at a party.. so I won’t erase my review as if you have straight hair and don’t need to worry and this is the color for you, but curls beware!! unfortunately, I’m still going to be on the search. I don’t know what I’m going to do to cover the Gray, in the meantime of trying to revive my curls .It really is upsetting to have your hair ruined with no known timeframe of when it may return to normal. but here is the review for color if and only if you have straight hair. Exact match to not only the color shown on the box , but also to my natural hair color . Silky and shiny for the first time after coloring it in a year . I have been using the Igora product line including permanent, absolute, and vibranceas well as trying different levels of developer. I kept thinking I had picked the wrong color- always dry after ranging from too dark, to orange rather than auburn which apparently is “copper” . Even worse what was supposed to be the golden or highlights or red - always would end up ONLY on the top of my head where regrowth was , not covering the grey I was dying it for in the first place , and no matter how perfectly applied with both technique and time left on would only leave the rest if my hair dry and a drastically different color then the top of my head . My instinct was to try this over and over again, and yet the Reviews would always lead me back to another try . This is absolutely the only color I will be using from now on . Forget about the hundreds of dollars I spent on all of the separate products within the same line not to mention a large price difference for each individual product versus this fantastic all in one. The directions here are clear, concise with no questions left un answered. Down to rinsing it with water and using their conditioner rather than washing it after dying. I can’t believe how soft,shiny and lovely This color is . Not to mention it’s name is actually appropriate to the color as well as the picture. Its not too dark , doesn’t call it blonde when it’s brown and doesn’t call it brown when it’s black . It is miraculously back to my original medium brown color and somehow even has my natural highlights I always loved that glisten in the sun. Basically it feels like I never dyed my hair, which is exactly what I wanted , it covered the gray impeccably. There’s not one grey hair in sight for the first time in so long even after dying it fresh over and over again. Its by the same brand as all the other products I had to get because of it being marketed as “the best” , but blows them away in every aspect important to anyone coloring only because of grey and with the frequency necessary to be done at home vs the salon . Dont hesitate brunette beauties- get this!

I really liked this hair color. It was easy to apply and gave my hair a rich, even color. My hair felt soft afterward and didn’t feel overly dry. The shade came out beautiful and covered well. I’m very happy with the result and would definitely use it again.

I have been using Clairol from Sally's Beauty for years, and in more recent years found it just stopped covering my greys...even when I switched to the grey coverage. So I went looking for another brand, hoping to find something still relatively chemical free and came across Schwarzkopf. Now, this stuff doesn't make my eyes water and tear up near as much as some other brands (I got Revlon once, and have had professional colouring done twice), but you definitely still need to ventilate the bathroom when applying. I purchased two boxes, one in Rich Bordeaux and one in Rich Caviar. The Bordeaux I applied, i've always done reds or some natural henna in the past...and it worked wonderfully on all my whites/greys and all my new hair growth (been a good year or more since last dye used)...but it only coloured some random strands past the new growth. So that may have been previous colours causing an issue or user error for application. So, rather than buying another box, I went ahead and applied the caviar- and my hair looks great now! There's still some more reds throughout from the bordeux, but the caviar got anything that hadn't coloured previously in addition to blending well with any of the bordeux. My hair feels nice, not damaged like the more chemically brands, although I still desperately wished the Clairol worked because that caused no tearing up whatsoever. I am inclined to think regardless of my previous colour and application skills that I just need two boxes given how much hair I have, so user beware if it's more than a touch up- full head coverage- and you have long and fine hair you should have two boxes ready in case.

I have always wanted to try this brand hair dye but it’s always been a bit more expensive for me to buy two boxes compared to alternatives. I was so excited to finally try this dye in the color Espresso which is a rich cool toned dark brown to almost black shade that’s exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping this color would offer me more dimension while providing a overall, even color consistency but sadly neither of those are true. This color ended up looking pretty flat and one dimensional on my hair, and there’s areas of my hair where the dye did not absorb as evenly or as dark as other areas leaving my hair looking very ‘at home’ done. I’m a former hair dresser so I’d like to think I did a descent job if thoroughly and evenly covering all my hair consistently the best I could. The worst part about this hair dye though is that ever since I dyed my hair, my hair always feels really dirty and greasy feeling now, which I’ve never had happen before. I washed my hair yesterday for example and it already looks like it has greasy strands in it and needs to be washed. This dye left a very strange texture and unclean feeling to my hair that I can’t seem to get rid of although it’s been several weeks since I dyed it now! Comparing it to other products I use to dye my hair, this one is definitely not it for me, but I’m glad I tried it to see what I’m not missing out on.

The colour is a bit darker than I had anticipated but when in the light it's a great colour, I get compliments from strangers all the time on the colour. And it didn't dry out my hair at all... For a boxed die, I am very impressed!

I wanted a black with blue undertones but not a full blue black. This color was so easy to use and the color came out great. I used the serum and conditioner. I wanted to test the box to its fullest potential so I used everything and followed the instructions word for word. My hair is SO shiny and feels very healthy after using. I will continue to use this when my roots need a touch up. I have natural level 6 hair which is a light to medium brown. I'm definitely keeping this black for a long while. I've been doing my hair myself for 14 years and I'm not a beginner. This color would be great for beginners to use though. 10/10!

It did nor cover the grey hair and it is extremely expensive.

Amazing results no more grey. My hair had so much grey around my face and front and sides. Now it looks great 👍
