Good for in between deck boards
Worked really well. I used an old broom handle in it that ended up breaking off (my fault) but this was as easy to use by hand without a handle.

The concept is great but execution is flawed
Do not use this even if they give it to you for free. The concept is great but execution is flawed. I was 200 feet into coating a 800 square foot dock and deck with protectant when the pad started coming off and totally separating from the plastic backing making it unusable. I had to finish the job with a roller which could not get between the deck boards.I was lucky to have the back-up roller. Otherwise I would have been left with a partially completed job. The other alternative is to buy 3 or 4 to get one job done.

DECK PRO STAIN APPLICATOR WITH GAP WHEEL
I used this on my cedar deck and I am now using the 2nd one. They are easy to use and the little wheel works well to get in between boards. Great product.

Great Idea but could be better
The idea of the product was good but the applicator pad could have been made with a thicker and more absorbent material. Halfway through its use, the bottom pad started to come off the product. this is an indication that the adhesive was not strong enough to hold the pad in place. The suction device worked well. I will buy this product again if the corrections are made for improvement.

Not what I hoped for
I was really looking forward to using this as I stained both my decks this summer. A good amount of square footage too! The first use worked decent but even after cleaning with an oil based thinner the bristles or brush part stayed hard and did not work. For a quick one time use maybe it’s ok but a roller with a brush used after the roller works as quickly and better coverage. I, unfortunately, would not buy this item again or recommend it.

Made the job easier.
Have use water sealer on previous decks. This beats using a brush or sprayer.

After multiple attempts we could not get this to work the way it was advertised.
Ever since we saw this used on one of the DIY or HGTV shows, we were looking forward to utilizing this product and expediting the staining of our 40 x 40 deck. We even purchased an extra stain applicator pad since we need to stain the front covered porch as well. When we started we thought we must be doing this wrong since the wheel was not rolling and the application was spotty at best. We tried and tried and tried again to make this thing work. We tried difference trays and in the bucket paint grid but nothing worked. We ended up cutting our losses and finished the deck with both of us working in tandem - one with a roller (on a stick) and one with a paint brush (on a stick). The deck turned out great after the second coat with the roller and brush method, but it was not accomplished with this unusable hunk of junk.

works as advertised
This is my second time purchasing same item. I used it in past and it works great on deck staining

Doesn't apply product evenly
We tried this product to apply deck stain and it just makes a mess. Uneven application. Had to re-stain the entire area at a cost of hundreds of dollars in additional stain. Would never use this product again. Ever.

Seems like it would work.
This looks pretty good. Never got to use it though cause it kept raining last summer and I procrastinate like a boss. Maybe this year I'll actually use it.

Ok. But fabric caught and pulled
Was ok. Did a good job staining horizontal surfaces (deck) but pad seemed catch on all sorts of wood fibers and the odd fastener that was slightly elevated. The pad essentially unraveled (by having fabric “pulled from it”. The wheel to stain between boards worked really well. Found after a while I returned to using a high quality deck stain brush at the end of a broom handle instead.
