He loves it
We got this for my son when he was 9 months old. He immediately began pushing it around the house, on his knees, as he couldn't yet walk. He would do this on a daily basis, just pushing it from one room to the next, on his knees, and tapping the elephant to start the music, bouncing along energetically. Now he is 15 months and he continues to play with this toy on a daily basis -- he pushes it around the house (bouncing along in rhythym to the music), runs it into walls, turns the pages of the attached book to look at the pictures, puts the blocks in the slot and laughs when they shoot out the back, and is learning to press the color buttons when we ask him to press the one we name (well, so far he only knows the blue one, but still!). He also likes sitting on the wagon (which he pretty much uses separately from the train). Oh, and he likes to look at all the pictures on the blocks. This is a great toy that keeps him busy and entertained -- EVERY SINGLE DAY. It was definitely well worth the money we paid for it considering he plays with it daily for the last 6 months.

Classic every child's fun time. It's good from months till 2 yrs old.
Classic but they now have made the pieces front and back (13) vs 26 letters. It's great for sit and ride or to walk with. For the early months there are block letters that go on the train and sing and make good learning lessons. The pages are tough vinyl material that is tough and does not hurt or rip. The elephant sings songs when pushed. The funnest part of all is you and put a block in the top and it shoots into the bucket under the seat. This is my 3rd purchase. It was gifted to me 7 years ago for my oldest. I gifted it to my baby niece. And now for my newest newborn I purchased it.

14 Month Old LOVES This Toy!
My husband and I just bought this toy for our little girl for Christmas and she LOVES it! It is great! The music is fun (I can see it getting a tad annoying over time though) and it teaches the letters really well. Obviously, our 14 month old isn't going to be comprehending all the letters for a little while yet, but she loves putting the alphabet blocks in the slot at the top of the train. The assembly took us about 2 minutes, it was so easy! and it seems like it will be really durable. Because of the plastic wheels, it rolls great on carpet as well as smooth surfaces. It is also a great walker for kids who are trying to get the hang of walking. My little girl just walks up and down the hall and is even strong enough (or the train is light enough) that she can maneuver it in whatever direction she needs to. Overall, we love this toy and so does she!

Lots of features to keep different ages engaged.
So I'm deaf but my family has explained different aspects of the sounds this toy makes. It's a little boring, I guess, for adults. But, boy, does it thrill my son! Let me start by saying that this is perfect for smaller babies too. My son is a teeny boy because as a preemie he's not catching up height-wise yet. He's about 26 inches tall at 14 months old and loves standing unassisted and walking with assistance. The train engine detaches so easily from the car and he can totally handle zooming around holding on to the handles. Any toddler will love this, but it's great for babies who have to grow into the walking-the-ride (pedaling skills) part while practicing standing-to-walking. That gives babies double the enchanted period with this toy. So the noise...you get 13 letter blocks (one letter per side. 26 letters) and when you set it to talk rather than play music the slots on the bottoms of each letter correspond with the opposite side (the letter you SEE when the block is pressed into one of the 4 depressions next to the plastic book) so each letter is spoken out loud and the corresponding part in the book is "read out loud." So it's kind of fun for different stages in toddlerhood. The elephant makes noise when it's "honked." The toy "poops." The train car catches all the pooped-out letters for easy storage and can hold other toys. There's a silent setting. It's a toy that's definitely a good value. I really like the monkey/jungle toy by V-Tech too, and the backseat driver toy. We have had the cuddly spotted cow since before birth, and he adores it. The dog toy is currently meh in his opinion. Infantino musical toys are a real hit among adults and musically pleasing but at the moment my baby wants V-tech.

As any parent wants their children to soar above the clouds, I too wish the same. Planing to purchase toys for your children is a big responsibility as "Cute" things may not cut the mustard with the child's developmental skills. My son was stuck in a day care with basic toys and the child care provider substandard although they were regulated from the government to educate the kids. My son was very behind in everything. I researched the VTECH line and found many items of interest. This item was amazing! his motor skills are advanced now, He was standing quickly instead of being stuck in his seat all day as before. His intelligence is booming as he has figured out every single aspect of this tool. My son has even become very creative with this tool and utilizes it for much more than the originated potential. Simply put..... If you are worried about price, why compromise with your child's development? Oh, I forgot, this thing is extremely durable! I will be able to pass this on to my newest addition next year as it has done everything it was supposed to do. Did I mention the abundance of joy my child has with this? well simply put, he loves it!

I bought this for my sons 1st birthday in march, he loves putting the pieces in the train and sitting on it. My 3 year old adores this toy. My only problem with it is that its tricky for them to get the numbers in and but that isn't a big deal and now my 1 year old uses it to climb onto things like its a rolling stool now so I can only let them play with it when I'm watching very carefully which I don't mind but I know this toy was worth every penny and my kids will get many more years of enjoyment from it!

My little one has been playing with this toy since she turned 6 months old. She loves turning the pages of alphabet book, the music, pressing the number buttons, pulling the elephant, pushing the carriage / walker when she sits or is lying down on her tummy and of course drumming the toy. It is a great hit and she spends at least 15 mins on it every 2 hours of her day.
