SmallHD 501 HDMI On Camera Monitor

SmallHD has been absolutely atrocious. The SmallHD 501 will not display the HDMI output from my Samsung NX1 for some reason. The 501 will display an output from other HDMI out sources such as my Sony A77 Mk II, XBOX One, and PC, so the 501 is working as it should. The NX1 HDMI output will display on other monitors perfectly fine, so it's outputting HDMI as it should. I called SmallHD for assistance and it's been a blast. Back on July 21, I called and got a prompt answer and was told that SmallHD would be getting a NX1 in the following week for testing and that they'd get back to me. Well today is August 6 and after 4 calls with voicemails and multiple emails I have yet to hear a thing. I can't get an answer at SmallHD on either the sales or support line and they don't return messages. So, I'm approaching my return window for this monitor and will, unfortunately, be returning it due to incompatibility. The monitor seems absolutely wonderful if it works with your camera, but if it does not and you have to ever rely on SmallHD for support, it's a nightmare. These people don't return messages, don't answer the phone, and aren't reliable should the need arise. With a given product, half of the "value" of ownership is the company behind that product and with SmallHD, that value just isn't there.

This monitor has no nicks or scratches, yet the monitor is internally shattered after one use.

The size is perfect for my use. Seems very rugged.
