Scanner MaxiCOM MK900: Bidirectional Tool as MK900BT, 40+Hot Service

Have had for a year now no complaints from me the scanner it great for a diy mechanic like myself

This scanner exceeds the expectations of its price point and is a really great tool for diagnosis and testing, while still being user friendly. Features like bi-directional control and the ability to program keys make this scanner a must have for anyone from the DIY guy to a dealership mechanic without the premium cost of units like snap on. I use the bidirectional controls often to test commonly failed components like fan resistors and fuel pumps. The screen is nice and bright and the camera is a great additional feature. I also like that the hard case has straps inside to keep it from moving around during transportation. This scanner also has update capability and wifi connectivity so you'll always be up to date with the newest models and features without ever having to plug into a computer. All in all I can not think of a better scanner as far as functionality and user interface at this price point. If you're looking to pick up a scanner in this price range, this one will not disappoint!

At its core, this is an android based tablet that has diagnostic software installed on it. It comes in a black hard plastic case, with a charger and the diagnostic cable. The case has room for additional accessories as you grow or add more components. The unit itself has rubberized sides and is well built. Out of the box you connect it to your wifi and tell it to download software for whatever brand of vehicle you want to use it with. The tablet has enough storage to install all brands (which is what i did), this took about 2 hours total on my wifi. The unit comes with 1 year of autel software which is used for the updates, the subscription is 150/year but does not need to be renewed in order to use the unit, just to continue to update it. Overall the unit works really well and would be a great value for a shop who needs to do diagnostics on a regular basis, it has access to all systems, ABS, SRS, service, etc. In my limited testing i found the system to be fast and responsive and work as expected. Its nice that there is also a web browser for googleing issues or looking up parts, because this is an android tablet.

This is one of my most used tools! It does everything i need and then some. My only complaint if you want to call it that is you have to have wifi connection or you cant perform any diagnostics. Which most of the time I just stay connected to the hotspot on my phone. But if i don't have cell service I cant perform diag. Which living in the country can cause an issue. Also I went back and fourth between the bluetooth version. It be nice if they had an option for both. Id pay extra but it isnt option.

I own the Autel MaxiCOM MK808S-TS. Model I first used it on my VW Passat. The traction control light had been on for years but I was able to pinpoint that the front driver and right rear speed sensor failed. I did the same on my Silverado. I started using on my family’s cars as well. A 08 Sebring with loss of power and the Autel reported throttle position sensor issue. I replaced the throttle body which had a new sensor and used the Autel to reset the cars computer so it would accept the new throttle body. I am an amateur mechanic and I work on my own cars. I save money and I trust myself, this scanner definitely makes it easier and saves me time. It has a solid case, is rechargeable, you can expand the storage and its easy to update. If you need internet and you are not close to wifi, use your cell phone as a hotspot and you can look up codes from the scanner. I keep a pair of latex gloves and an extension mirror in the case

So far this thing has been amazing. It has saved my rump more times than I can count and when you get one of these, EVERYBODY will ask to borrow it and everybody will want to be your friend. It does way more than I thought and it works good enough for in depth diagnostics and most of my friends that own shops own this scanner. I have been able to calibrate and test every component on my 2012 Enclave and after it saw 4 shops I decided to diag myself which I should have done to start with. It sniffed out a bad ECU in 30 mins. Only thing I wish it would do is write vin numbers.

you have to pay extra for almost every feature in this thing. dont waste the money. requires additional subscriptions to almost anything and has to have wifi access to preform most tasks. what a joke. i want an all in one tool not a pay for play to do everything. also you cant even do the basic functions till you connect to wifi and register and then update everything in it. im only guessing but at any time they can probably disable this unit so it cant be used at all. why would i pay this kind of money for something you can turn off if i dont give you more money in the future. seriously no thanks. probably gonna return unless i find a video that explains how to bypass all the pay for play scams in this thing. at this point i consider it a 50dollar scanner at best. ive downloaded apps that Bluetooth link to just a VCI tool and do as much as this does. if i wanted that id be using that. gonna try to find a video that explains how to use this thing without tons of subscriptions but not looking great. good thing i bought on prime instead of their own website. looking like expensive junk at the moment. maybe ill try to find a version that cant connect to wifi. i dont need that hassle. no thanks.

Great scanner has worked on many cars. updates available. Nice to get info the dealer would get. nice to get the same fault codes.

Endlich ein Diagnosegerät, das nicht nervt! Ich schraube schon eine ganze Weile, aber das Autel MK900 hat mich echt überrascht. Wer vorher mit den älteren Modellen (wie dem MK808) gearbeitet hat, weiß: Die waren okay, aber das MK900 ist, als würde man vom alten Klapphandy aufs neueste Smartphone umsteigen. Was mir richtig gut gefällt: Keine Gedenksekunden mehr: Dank Android 11 und dem größeren Speicher reagiert das Teil sofortt. Man muss nicht ewig warten, bis sich ein Menü öffnet – das spart Zeit und Nerven. Es ist Einfach alles dabei: Egal ob ich bei meinem eigenen Wagen das Öl zurücksetze oder beim Nachbarn die Bremsen entlüfte – das Gerät hat bisher bei jedem Auto „Ja“ gesagt. Die Abdeckung ist echt Wahnsinn. „Rede“ mit deinem Auto: Das Highlight sind für mich die aktiven Tests. Du kannst vom Tablet aus checken, ob der Lüfter anspringt oder die Spritpumpe läuft. Man muss nicht mehr alles auf Verdacht ausbauen, um zu sehen, ob es noch lebt. Modernes Zeug: Es frisst auch die neuesten Protokolle (CAN-FD/DoIP). Man steht also nicht dumm da, wenn mal ein ganz frisches Modell auf dem Hof steht. Mein Fazit: Das MK900 ist ein echtes Arbeitstier, sieht aber schick aus und lässt sich kinderleicht bedienen. Sogar das Ausdrucken der Berichte klappt jetzt einfach über WLAN – kein nerviges Kabelgedöns mehr. Wer keinen Bock mehr auf billige OBD-Stecker hat, die eh nur die Hälfte anzeigen, sollte hier zugreifen. Es ist jeden Cent wert und macht das Schrauben einfach viel entspannter.

ランドローバーディスカバリー2020年式で使ってます。DPFフィルター詰まりでエラー出まして、ディーラーでは交換で50万とのことですが、これがあれば強制燃焼モードで焼き切ることができます。指定水温まで暖気し指定速度以上で強制燃焼に自動で入ります。しばらく走ると煤の量が減り復活しました。その他にもいろいろできます。その他、新車でも排気温など閾値が細かすぎて不要なエラーばかり出るランドローバー車ですがこれがあれば一撃です。

Purchased this tool to replace a OBDII scan tool that was limited vehicle model applicability and functionality. I am no a professional mechanic nor hardcore vehicle enthusiast, but do have four different vehicle models that pop DTCs from time to time; even for simple service aspects such as TPMS resets when I switch out the Summer/Winter tires. Not being able to accurately determine the source of the code has been a frustration. This tool covers all the vehicle systems which helps more efficiently and accurately resolve the issue. The screen/software interface is clear and easy to follow. It is important to note that not all functions work on all vehicles covered by the tool. I know there are other tools with bi-directional functionality which I would have loved to have, but as a non-professional, it is hard to justify the additional costs for those component testing abilities. My greatest satisfaction with the tool thus far is that the information is provides was the same as the professional mechanic shop provided me --- what the DTC was (in this case on a BMW), and what the interpretation is of the non-universal code. This provides assurance that I am not missing anything while trying to resolve the issue. The tool is great -- only recommendation would be to have a smaller carry-case.
