Good Size and Weight for Grill Press
If you have a griddle, I would recommend this grill press to help your cooking. It has a wooden handle, so it won't get too hot, it's quite large, and of decent weight. Great for using as a bacon press, putting some weight on proteins, and if you want to make a grilled burrito or quesadilla. The downside is that it is cast iron, so it will rust if you don't take care of it, and it's not the easiest to clean. However, this is a good product, and I would recommend it for griddle owners. Note: Since the handle is made of wood, I would not recommend using it in a very hot bbq or gas grill.

Perfect.. but not
I Love Cuisinart. I have a Cuisinart Panini press, but since its not an appliance I use daily, it is put away with other infrequently used electrical appliances, like my waffle iron. I have MASSIVE amounts of cast iron, and I am Lodge cast iron all the way. I decided to buy a lodge square grill pan and a press so I could just grab and use those easier than dragging out the panini press for only one sandwich. I broke my Lodge only for cast iron ruleand went with the Cuisinart cast iron press because of the lighter weight. I want my sandwiches grilled not smooshed to smithereenes.Pros.. the weight is perfect, and the wood handle does not get hot. It does press evenly, and does not squish everything flat.Cons.. I let it set on my ceramic top burner at the same temp and length of time as my brand new ordered at the same time, Lodge cast iron grill pan.It did not get even close to hot enought to leave a single line on the bread😲. Part of my reason for getting it was to be able to sorta cheat and grill both sides of the sandwich at once. The worst part of it.. and this is totally my fault.. I must not have paid emough attention to sizes.. it only fits sideways in the grill pan. It is larger than the skillet otherwise. So you need to grill your sandwich sideways in the direction that leaves you using your spatula in the opposite direction of the “grates/ridges” of the skillet. This is not fun.So.. it works perfect as a press, has just the right amount of weight to it, and if all you want is a flat press that does not leave grill marks on your food, and are planning on using it with a larger skillet than the lodge grill skillet sold here on Amazon.. you’ll love it. If you are planning on using it on a grill... not sure if the handle is built for that.

Pretty good cast iron press
This Cuisinart cast iron press seems to be pretty well made but wood handle i am unsure of. I love Cuisinart and they are usually known for quality and this to me seems to be of good quality but not for a serious cast iron person. The quality seems to be on par with other Cuisinart cookwear, which is pretty good. I hope the wood handle lasts as I have not had a wood handle on any of my cast iron cookwear. Time will tell how long it lasts, but hoping for the best. If you want a heavy press though, this is not the one.

Smash burgers and potatoes
Works well smashing potatoes and burgers. A bit of work to clean. I use a wet paper towel and dry it quickly so hopefully, it won't rust.

The best out there
We got this really because of the brand name, and it was on heavy sale for some reason. So glad we did!I took comparison photos with the one that came with a grill accessory kit (and was a fine press), but I cant figure out how to share. This is *much* larger than the standard. And when they say it weighs 2.1 pounds, that may not sound like a lot but trust me, this is the one you want! The handle is just higher quality. The botton has grill marks, which are nice, but you realize using it that the “empty” grooves provide an even airflow to it as well. Lastly, and this to me was genius, the edges are raised, meaning a higher portion of that 2.1 pounds is distributed along the edges of this, which may not sounds like a big deal but it is. No wobble, can handle oddly shaped items, wont slide like a “plain” flat press. This famous brand earns its stripes (pun intended) once again.
