EXCELLENT MACHINE.
Received my Total Gym in brand-new condition-no broken parts, no dents, no scratches. fresh off the manufacturer. Well-packaged. No marks or tearing on the box. Box was tied with flat plastic ropes so courier could easily carry it. Courier guy was kind enough to carry the box all the way inside my living room. Total Gym in box weighed about 83 lbs. The seller did a great job packaging it. 10000 stars to you!Unboxing the Total Gym was easy. Just cut through the packing tape along the edges of the box, then lift the cardboard lid. Total Gym was folded and fully assembled inside the box. To get Total Gym (TG) out of the box, no need to lift it. Just cut along all four corners of the box and the box will collapse flat. Simply move TG off the now flat box. Make sure to remove all the cushioning, padding, and foam you find. Underneath the glideboard are two padded cardboards. Make sure to remove them. Did I say the TOTAL GYM came FULL ASSEMBLED? Yes it is fully assembled! Not sure why some users are having a hard time folding and unfolding the TG. I am only 5ft 1in, and weight 137 lbs. I am a very tiny man but I don't it difficult to fold and unfold the TG. The TG isn't even heavy if you lift it folded. First few tries, yet it can be a bit tricky but once you know the steps, it'll be quick. I can unfold mine in 2 minutes, and fold it back in 2 minutes, with minimum effort. The trick is to do SLOWLY and be aware of your fingers as you move it around the underside of the TG.The TG comes with all the accessories you need:1) short pins.2)multi-adjustment handlebars,3)a set of dip bars4)foot board5)owners manual,6)DVD featuring Dan Isaacson discussing 18 exercises you can do three times a week (excellent dvd produced in 2002, and he still says "Rewind the tape". It's that old but still VERY USEFUL.) I encourage prospective buyers to watch it.7)Exercise Manual8)Flash Card with rings containing exercises shown on manual9)TG clipboard to mount flash cardsThis is my first TG and I am loving it. I strongly recommend this product. You might not end up looking like Chuck Norris (yikes!)with all his chest hair; but you will definitely have a great workout. Also, don't forget to purchase two rubber mats from Total Gym. You don't want to scratch your floors or tear your carpet.

Awesome machine
I bought this machine off of here a couple weeks ago and I have been very pleased with it. I have been a huge Chuck Norris fan for years, and I've watched the infomercial for Total Gym for years and always wanted one because it impressed me that it didn't need any free weights in order to use it for one thing, for another it could be folded up so it wouldn't take up an entire room like some machines I've seen in the past, and finally, the fact that there were so many different exercises you could do on it with little to no effort at all. I figured if it was good enough for my man Chuck Norris, it would be good enough for me and my family as well, believe me when I say that I have enough body weight that I'll be able to supply myself with plenty of weight resistance training on this machine lol. I have worked out on it for about two weeks now and every muscle in my body is sore from it lol, so it definitely lives up to its reputation, as for shipping, I had no problems what so ever, it actually got to my house a day earlier than it said it would and it arrived well packaged and unharmed, I was very impressed. It comes with a dvd that is very helpful and a leg pulley and pull up bar attachments as well, all I need now is Chuck Norris to come be my personal trainer lol, that would thrill me to death lol. Buy this machine, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent value, GREAT machine overall. Getting near daily use.
It's been several weeks now and I find that this fitness machine was a great choice for me. I had multilevel lumbar fusion surgery in June 2017, my second back surgery (after the first disaster). Having healed fairly well, the fusion process is ongoing and my core is still pretty weak. At 59, and not wanting to ever have to go through such a surgery again, I was in search of fitness equipment that would allow for a full workout without causing the kind of strain (and potential damage) to my back that free weight equipment has done. In fact, free weights and bands are just beyond my body's ability to handle right now and I found myself not really exercising much at all; definitely not good for the healing process. This machine has completely changed all that for me. I use it near daily and mange a very full workout without extreme back strain. It makes me WANT to work out.The good-* Yes, it comes fully assembled, but the setup instructions leave a great deal to be desired. Took watching several videos to figure out how to fully extend it and mount the accessories. (YouTube)* Accessories are attached using quick pins and mount and dismount fairly easily* It's surprisingly quiet. I live with a roommate who often works third shift and sleeps in the bedroom on the other side of our gym setup. I can do a full 40 minute plus workout and not wake him at all.* It does collapse to a very small footprint for storage when not in use* Reasonable amount of useful accessories at this price point* Rock steady when I am on it. No shifting at all. Glides smoothly.* Included workout DVD has a mini walkthrough to explain each exercise of the basic workout (18 exercises) and walk you through a few reps, followed by a full blown, prepare to strain, workout that is coached through every rep and accessory change out.* Includes a flip chart with many different exercises and several different workout plans from beginner to advanced* You really can workout your full body on this machine. The exercises hit every spot you can imagine, from the top to the bottom. I def have to hit the shower after a good session. The Not So Great -* That top mounted flip chart is ANNOYINGLY in the way when storing the machine. I've given up and now just take it off.* That top mounted flip chart is also printed in such LIGHT and SMALL print micro print folks, micro print) that you need reading glasses, bright light, and a magnifying glass to read it. IMHO, it's a worthless add on. Not sure who thought that a machine targeted at older folks should include a manual with miniature print that's so light gray you can't make good use of it, but that fool should be fired. I'm all for saving a buck, but D**N! Unless your vision is till top notch, get the wall chart as well.* The accessories connect well and are very sturdy, but swapping out accessories at the pulley is made more difficult by the use of screw type C connectors. If you plan to use additional accessories that you may already own (as in, using Velcro type ankle or wrist attachments) I'd recommend buying a set of heavy duty spring loaded C clips to replace them with.* Fully open, this puppy takes up a huge amount of space. It's not wide, but it IS long. Make sure you have the space to use, as at first, if you're just getting back into exercising, you'll want to be able to use the full extension. If you're in okay shape and can start out well at a higher incline, the needed space declines considerably.* Glide bed is WAY too short (this model), by at least a solid foot IMHO. I am a mere 5'2", and the bed isn't really long enough for me. I find myself shifting uncomfortably into a less that great position for some exercises. It's still adequate, but I truly can't see how anyone much taller than I am can use this model.* The glide bed is a bit slim for today's average American (read between the lines here). Another six inches on that would increase one's sense of security markedly.* If you've got core strength issues, docking the machine into the storage position and undocking it for use really isn't a one person gig. While it moves smoothly and is simple enough to do after a few times, it can be a strain until your strength improves. It's def easier for me now than it was a few weeks ago. The design could have used a bit more thought in making that process simpler considering the target demographic.* Not as easy to get into position for many of the exercises as endorsers (Chuck Norris, cough, cough) would have you think. Just try getting your ankles hooked while not sliding back on the board if you've not been working out in months (or years), even using their prescribed and demonstrated method. You'll get there after a while, but it was not dead simple by any means. Was rather amusing though, even to me as I struggled with it. :)On the " not so greats", to be fair, if you buy a higher end version of this machine most of my comments become moot. You will get the longer wider bed, additional accessories, etc. But most especially for the price point, if you're like me and the pricier machine is just out of the question, this one is very much worth the money. I hope to be able to save enough to upgrade at a future date.Highly recommended for those of us that don't want to drive to a gym, need to maintain good conditioning, and might have medical or physical issues that can make traditional free standing exercise difficult or impossible. I recommend starting out with a workout partner (or just a friend to lend a hand) if you're just getting back into exercising, as the transition to using a machine of this type will be much smoother.
