I keep this on hand in the pantry
A favorite of mine. Love the pimento taste. The chicken is ample for the can. The seasoning is great. A little expensive for the size of the can. Calories per can is 220.

a la good!
Swanson Chicken a la King is my go-to for a quick, satisfying meal. It’s perfect for breakfast or lunch when I’m short on time but still want something hearty and comforting. The prep is effortless: heat the Chicken a la King, toast some bread, and pour it over. That’s it! Creamy, flavorful, and ready in minutes. Busy schedules don’t stand a chance with this in the pantry. The only downside to this product was poor shipping packaging, that is. the product is delicious; however, the 5 cans of Chicken a la King I ordered were dented. The packaging for the cans was only a paper mailer.

Swanson's chicken a la king
Now I really did like this it's kind of cheesy sauce it doesn't really have enough chicken in it for me but if I want to put it over some rice I just add some chicken to it out of a can I don't think there's enough chicken in it but maybe if you're just eating the soup it might be enough chicken but to add some maybe if you want extra vegetable or you're using rice you know to put it on you definitely one of the little extra chicken in my opinion but not everybody you know like me so you'll just have to see but it is good it tastes so good and actually I bought it for my dog because I started making his own food because he had an allergy reaction to something I bought and I thought why did we get last it was duck jerky he can't take the duck turkey I'm going to give you I was so bad itchy itchy and then he had hives with it too it was horrible but I got it all situated and bought things that I needed and he's all good and just make your dog's food it's not that hard especially using little cans of stuff you know like chicken tuna salmon and add rice or Ezekiel Bread green bread or the other kind of the Ezekiel bread my dog loves the muffins they're kind of sweet and they're Ezekiel it's just made it to the Bible ingredients so it doesn't have any flour and that's what I do you know I put peas peas and carrots or green beans sometimes broccoli

It's OK
Still good. Not as much chicken as there was when it was still in stores, but the flavor is still good.

Less chicken than I remember, same great flavor.
Brings back memories of Mom's quick lunches with exactly this canned item spread over toast with some carrot sticks. I think the amount of chunk chicken in each can is lower, perhaps 50% lower, than I remember as a kid. Perhaps my memory is off, but a common way food companies stay competitive is by reducing the expensive ingredients. Regardless, this does taste identical to what I remember Mom serving in the 1970s. Same flavor. A fix for more chicken, common for any canned item, is to "doctor" it a bit by adding more cooked, unflavored, chicken chunks to the heated mix.

Comfort food
Aside from the high sodium, which is expected in canned products, this was very good! Price was great. Makes a nice warm meal or soup/stew as it's pretty versatile

Quick meal
I really enjoy this product. It’s creamy. It has great ingredients. It’s got good consistency and there’s nothing I like better than to make some fresh biscuits and pour this on the biscuits. Makes an excellent quick meal.
