Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum – RGB 7.1 Dolby and DTS Headphone Surround Sound Gaming Headset – PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Mobile Compatible – Exceptional Audio Performance – Black

I bought the Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum, and I did quite a bit of research before I did. This headset has been perfect for what I needed it for, which was gaming, and more specifically, the digital surround sound. I chose to go for the corded option because I knew I would be right next to my computer 99% of the time I used this headset, and it was also cheaper than the wireless version. I also read some reviews on the wireless version and saw that people were having issues with them randomly disconnecting, so I figured the wired version wouldn't suffer the same problem. On a side note, this headset also comes with an alternate wire with a 3.5mm plug (normal wire has USB), so you can plug into your phone or any other device that has such a jack. The surround sound has helped immensely in the competitive shooters I play on my computer, and the mic sounds phenomenal. I've also used these to listen to music and watch movies and they perform very well, with deep, rich lows and tight highs. The part that goes around your ear is very comfortable and breathable, so you won't get sweaty during your longer gaming sessions. The buttons/controls on the back of the left ear are easy to get to, but it might take a while to get used to. The software that's made for this headset (available for free from the Logitech website) is full of features. It allows you to map those left ear buttons to macros or whatever else you could want, really. You can also customize the built-in lights and change the "sound profile", to specifically tailor the balance for gaming, movies, etc. You can even create and save custom presets to get the precise sound you want for every application you're using. NOTE: You'll have to download the software in order to use the digital surround sound. My only complaint is probably the plastic they used to build these things. It's very light, which is most likely done on purpose to prevent fatigue during longer gaming sessions, but they just feel a little bit delicate. Also, straight from the box, somewhere near the hinges on the right ear has been squeaky from Day 1. It looks like it's just a little bit of plastic rubbing together, but it was a little bit of a disappointment after having spent quite a bit of money on such a nice headset. Either way, these things aren't deal breakers for me. Overall, this is a solid headset and is fantastic for gaming!

Summary: The headset sound and microphone sound good, and it is easy to set up. I definitely recommend it, especially on Windows! The surround effect combined with better drivers makes for an incredible sound experience. Pros: -Plug and play compatibility -Macro buttons -Mic quality -Compatibility with Logitech Gaming Software -Nice braided USB and auxiliary cables included -Swiveling ear cups -Folding microphone Cons: -Plastic build feels cheap -Not comfortable for long periods -Finicky adjustments Overall: The Logitech G633 headset is a great value (I got it for $80) for a pretty good headset. I bought it for both gaming and online classes since my Bluetooth headphones weren't doing the job. Immediately, I was disappointed by the plastic build because, though it looks nice, it feels cheap. Adjusting the band size is also a weird experience because the band is very loose and it is very hard to tell when I hit one of the notches or when I am between notches. Putting the headset on after adjusting the band is difficult because the band is so loose that it slides back into the original position. Because of my troubles with band positioning, I have a poor seal around my ears and the headband hurts my head despite being such a light headset. Pressure from the ear cups feels like a lot when pulling them back to put the headset on, but the band is so wide that it does not feel like much once it is on. There is a noticeably higher pressure on the top of the ear cup than the bottom because of how loose the swivel is. Thankfully, the ear cups have plenty of padding and are very comfortable for long use. Speaking of swivel, the ear cups independently swivel more than 90 degrees backwards, but only about 20-30 degrees forward. There is also a lot of up and down swivel that makes it easy to rest the headset around my neck and on my shoulders. On macOS: Sound quality is a mixed bag. Sometimes it sounds clear and crisp like a decent pair of warm-toned, closed-back headphones. The rest of the time, it sounds dull and muddles sounds together. Overall, the highs are clear, mids are flat, and the low end is there, but it is quiet and can easily be missed without cranking the volume. This is just on the flat EQ, however, and can be adjusted accordingly. The surround effects do not work on macOS. On Windows: Sound is incredible! Details from the entire range are apparent and the sound is neither bright nor warm. They have such a wide sound stage, especially when listening to surround sound audio. It's truly incredible how precisely sounds can be placed. Microphone quality is quite good for the price of the headset and the size of it. I have had no issues with clarity, though volume can be an issue if improperly set in your computer's settings. It easily folds up and down, and it is automatically muted in the upright position. The auxiliary cable has a microphone built into it, too, and though I have not used it, I would recommend not using that when there is a very capable one built into the headset. I would also recommend sticking with the USB connection for the best feature set and functionality with the Logitech Gaming Software. Using on my Hackintosh (PC running macOS) has been a breeze. I use a Logitech G502 mouse, so the Logitech Gaming Software immediately recognized the headset and synced the lighting profile from my mouse. It is also very easy to customize the macro buttons on the back of the left ear cup, but it can be hard to figure out which button is which when going to press one. There is also a volume wheel under the buttons that feels like it is the same shape as the scroll wheel from my mouse. It would be nice if it felt like my mouse scroll wheel, too, because right now it is too easy to accidentally turn it and change the volume. Just moving my head the wrong way or too quickly can trigger it. For someone looking for a headset compatible with as many devices as possible and with as many features as possible, I recommend this headset for this price range. I have been pleased with its performance and I have no regrets buying it.

I bought this as an upgrade from HyperX Cloud II's. The material is plastic, but so far it's sturdy. Mind you, I've only had these for the day. I didn't pre-stretch them, but they don't really pinch. The foam padding goes around the ear, not on them, and they're deep enough so your ear does not actually make contact with the inside wall, so all you feel is the foam around your ear. The sound is amazing. If you want it just for audio, I highly recommend it. However, the microphone quality suffers a bit from how sensitive it is. The actual quality is great, but because it's so sensitive, it picks up everything in the room. I don't have the quietest keyboard, but it picks up when I just TOUCH my space bar. When in a Discord call, friends can hear every click and every keystroke I make. They can't hear me breathe, but they can hear when my automatic air freshener thing goes off across the room. Another thing about the mic is the fact that it's in a weird spot. With the HyperX Cloud II's, the entire mic was bendable and I was able to bend it relatively close to my mouth. With this mic extended, I can't get it very close to my mouth at all. A solid 1 1/2 to 2 inches away, which doesn't sound like that far, but it's further than I'm used to. But due to the sensitivity, it picks me up perfectly. As well as my cat, freaking out in the background. The microphone mutes when folded up, and has a red light on it which you can easily see in your peripheral vision when it's muted by any other means. The RGB is also bright and vibrant, which is cool, if you're into that sort of thing. Flashy headsets aren't necessarily bad anymore.

First let me start off this review saying this the last headset I will buy. It is that good I will probably never get a new one. Now let me tell you why. Firstly, the most important part of the headset: The Sound: The sound has some of the best quality I have heard in a headset. Even at its highest volumes, the sound is still crystal clear. Now this headset features both 7.1 Digital Surround Sound as well as stereo. For the 7.1 to work, you have to have the USB plugged in so the headset is powered, so you can literally get 7.1 DSS from any device as long as it is powered by USB. The sound quality can also be customized through Logitech's PC app, and saved as presets on the headset itself. The sound quality and customization for it, is simply the best For around 130$. The Build quality: The build quality may feel fragile and light at first, but it is truthfully well built. Nothing has broke on it since I bought it (granted I am careful with electronics I buy), and usually with some cheaper headsets they just randomly break. This have not. The build quality is exceptional. The comfort: In the build quality section I said the headset is light. With it being light, it is very comfortable for its size. I can have this headset on and it does not feel like I am wearing it most of the time, that is how comfortable it is. I can go hours playing or listening to something through this headset and have no irritation after a few hours of use. It is simply comfortable enough, it disappears when you put it on. The mic: Now here is where it gets interesting. The mic works well, and is concealable in the headset if you don't need or want to use it at the time. However, it is a bit short, and you have to speak up more for it to pick up your voice. Or you move to try to move it closer to you, but how far you can extend the mic is still short. The mic was probably the least focused on aspect of the headset, but it still works very well with how much else the headset does right. Finally there is the customization The Customization: This is where the Logitech G633 puts the final nail in the coffin against other headsets, in terms of price as well as everything previously mentioned. When you download the Logitech app to customize the headset, it gives you two things you can adjust: The sound and the lighting. The sound can be adjusted for heavier bass, for cinematic gaming, for FPS, for stealth, etc, and these are just the presets they have, you can create a new preset yourself. So you can change the sound quality to fit what you like. Secondly, this headset has customizable lighting. You can set the color to any of the 16.8 million colors available to you, and you can set to three effects: always on, breathing, and color cycle. You can also set which of the two zones you want on or off. Or alternatively you turn it off if you don't like the lighting effect. Final thoughts: The is by far the best headset on the market in this price range. Most headsets usually only specialize in one part of the headset to get right. Well, this headset simply crushes the competition in every area. You can hook it up to any device that has USB or 3.5mm jack (PC, Consoles, mobile devices), it is extremely comfortable, 7.1 sound and build quality are superb, and this level of customization is unheard of in a headset. This is simply the best headset you will get for your money. This the last headset you will have to buy. At least for a long time. Buy this headset over any others if you can afford it. You will not be disappointed, I know I am not.

Update: After having this for i dont know more than half a year, i regret buying this, even when it was on sale at $70. The USB connection is TERRIBLE ; anytime you move your head, IT DISCONNECTS, AND CRASHES ALL THE PROGRAMS YOU ARE USING. PROGRAMS WILL BECOME CORRUPTED AND WILL CRASH. TRUST ME. I already rated this a three star, almost a four. NOW its 1. Look elsewhere ; the build is strong, but the USB Placement and Quality is MORE THAN SHODDY: ITS THE WORST. Disconnects so easily. Plus also the original loudness is still an issue: ITS NOT LOUD. Like i said before, its mechanically neutered by Logitech. The microphone is also whatever.....i really wish i got a Hyper X instead... This review is for the wired headset It is overall very comfortable. Super soft. Wore for hours, didnt give me any soreness or anything. Sounds nice, not that QUITE awesome, but a step up for people who have cheap 20/30 dollar headsets. PROS -Soft ear muffs that cup around your ears 7.1 isnt true 7.1 but faux, but for what MOST people will do, games/movies/music/etc, it WILL be more than enough -Nice bass -Nice RGB CONS -Even at 100% sound level, it is NOT that loud, NEEDS work on that aspect. Its mechanically LIMITED by Logitech for some reason -The microphone is WAYYY TOO QUIET, it is NOT on other peoples ends. Ive tested this with the sidetone option multiple times. I have to physically PULL the microphone TO my mouth in order for me to be heard at a normal voice level and for it to be loud. If you leave it in its default positions, you will NOT be heard comfortably. It will be too hard for others to hear you. I wish Logitech would fix it. Overall, do NOT buy if this is over $70. I got this on an Amazon sale for $70. If it was anymore i would be incredibly frustrated. I honestly think its a 50-70 dollar item. It does not deliver what it says, but at the same time it does: it just does so in a mediocre fashion. If microphone quality is a main focal point LOOK ELSEWHERE. The sound is whatevers, nothing to write home about, the nice bass feels good. But besides that, i am so glad i never paid full price point for it. Its good for what it is, a "gaming" headset with a mediocre mic. Besides that, you can definitely look elsewhere.

Bought for $60 on sale. [Edit After a few weeks of use I would no longer recommend these. See edit below] Used mostly for FPS gaming and movies. Pros: -Amazing sound quality for gaming and movies - Above average sound quality for music - Mic sounds great - Headphones fit extremely tight/secure (small head) -Headphone pad material stays cool Cons: - sharp pain around ears after an hour or so when worn with glasses - Could be louder (USB) - Flimsy construction Edit: So after a few weeks of use they have become more comfortable. I no longer have pain in my temples but they still press my glasses into the sides of my head pretty hard. The Logitech G Hub software is probably the most troublesome piece of software I've had to interact with, and that's including printer software. Features randomly turn themselves off. Some features need to be reenabled with every start up. Others need to be reenabled every time you start a game. It's not buggy. It's haunted. I've gotta say I wouldn't recommend these after all. They sound nice but Logitech needs to make some changes with their software team. Due to haunted software you have to babysit these products to keep them working. A shame at this price and with a respected name. Edit: After a year and a half these are still going strong for the most part and are well broken in for comfort. Software performs much better now. The biggest annoyance about this headset by far after long use is the typical poorly designed USB port. The positioning such that you'll brush the plug with your shoulder or your chair now and again and this will cause the audio to cut out and swap back to speakers for a second and then back again. I suspect it's the result of the typical weakening solder point that connects the female port to the board. It's hard to believe none of these companies' engineers have thought of building a deeper plastic shield/sheath so the plug doesn't act as a lever that'll inevitably break the solder on these kinds of connections for devices that are meant to be worn and moved around often. Then you'd just have to replace the wire once in a while instead of the whole product.

I purchased these for my brother a few days ago. Here is his review as per FB. Thank you to my brother and sister-in-law, for gettng these for my birthday. I am quite particular when it comes to hardware, especially with devices that enhance interactiity - keyboards, mice, monitors, joysticks, and in this case, headphones. These are the Logitech Artemis G633 gaming headphones. They have 7.1 surround sound capabilities with with a 40 mm driver (large drivers = better lower bass frequencies). I was skeptic about this spec, but, it was in fact a defining charateristic. More on that later. Anyway, the feel of wearing these is quite comfortable. I have two other headsets I have had prior. The Sony wireless headsets and the Sony Playstation 4 wired headsets. Compared to these two, the G633 is the most confortable. It's not as tight as the Sony wired headsets, and the cushioning is much more comfortable than the Sony wireless ones. Sound: Solid if directly connected to the device. Now, most of you know that I am kinda deaf, so I don't really pay attention to audio quality towards anything. Actually, I am lying. I love music. Hip-hop, electronic, alternative, 80's rock or pop, R&B. You name a genre, and I can probably tell you an artist and song that I like in that category. Anything outside of music is not something I can speak volumes too (that has to be a pun in this review, right?) However, when I wear these to listen to movies, and in my case, gaming, it opens me up to the world the director's universe. I can hear things in the distance in perspective of the character I follow. It's impressive to me, well, because I am deaf, lol. As for the bass, I heard frequencies I wouldn't hear on normal headphones, especially in music. There is this one song by Daft Punk called "Doin' It Right" which I have heard many times over in my car and on my phone with regular earbuds. I listened to this song with the G633, and all of a sudden, this became a better song with a bass filled depth. It was like watching Chris Nolan's "Interstellar", but with my ears </synesthesia>. On to a technical part. These headphones has to output ports: micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. Usually, headphones only allow one output, which is true in this case, however, you are able to plug in two different devices at the same time and switch between the two using a switch. The benefit to this is being able to plug in both a smartphone and PC/console at the same time. So, if you are playing a game and then your phone rings, you can flick the switch and interact with your phone's audio. Not to mention, these headsets have a mic on it, which outputs quality voice. It's not necessarily the best voice output, but its better than anything I've used. Overall, headphones are great. It's pricey, but worth it if you are a gamer who likes being immersed. 9 out of 10 eggrolls.

So in the past I've had a number of headsets. Starting from 2003 in about 3rd grade playing Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne on PC with an old school stand mic to now playing PS4 and Xbox One with this great headset. I've had several different brands such as Turtle Beach, Tritton, Astros, Microsoft's Xbox 360 standard mic, and Playstation's ps3 bluetooth headset. With my Tritton Kunai going out on me after only about a year in a half (great headset, but now has a constant 'echo' when playing with friends (do note that the echo started first) and then the hinge on the mic cracked a bit when I accidentally stepped on it, now the headset won't stay on my head too well even with hardcore taping), being disappointed with the loss of quality in the new gen Turtle Beach headsets (overall did not like the sound quality on the Earforce XO and friends saying I did not sound too great on the mic) , and accidentally lightly stepping on the hinge of my A30 Astros resulting in no sound in one ear and the mic never connecting (when I saw 'lightly stepping' on the headset, I really mean it. It's not some BS excuse. I actually did stop myself before I could REALLY put pressure on it. Overall it felt like cheap plastic, didn't even last a year); I think it was time for a new brand.... Normally I would never buy a headset over the $50 mark on Black Friday (hence why I've owned moderately expensive headsets like the Astros and Turtle Beach Ear Force XO); but with my gf's mother giving me a pretty decent Amazon gift card and seeing this $150 headset on sale for ~$91; I just caved. Everyone has their own needs when it comes to buying something. For me, I needed a headset that could take a beating. I often bring the headset to my girlfriend's house and occasionally to a friend's house. Next I needed a headset with decent speakers. I'm tired of crappy audio and mic quality (such as the TB Ear Force XO). Lastly, I wanted a headset that can function well while going from PS4, Xbox One, and even to my phone. I'll get to the point... Pros: 1. Build quality is great! Really can take a beating. 3.5mm jack and usb cords are thread so it won't fringe easily. Headset sits well on my head. 2. Audio SOUNDS GREAT! The surround sound works very well and the sound quality is great. 3. Mic quality (as stated by friends) is great. I sound clear and will pick up the smallest sounds. Great when you have a roommate sleeping or a complaining parent. Cons: 1. Size of headset. Its large, but not uncomfortable or anything. Just large for storage.

I had my sights on the Logitech G933 originally, but I'm not a fan of having to charge my headset before every gaming session. Or stopping to charge mid session. After spending a few hours of meticulous research I ordered the G633's (Wired). Out of the box, I was amazed by the high build quality. Nice weight too. It is mainly plastic but very sturdy, I see these lasting a while. By far the most comfortable gaming headsets I've owned and I like how they completely cover my ears. In the past I've used the Turtle Beach P12, Playstation Silver on the PS4, but they don't match with the Logitech G633 in terms of build quality and great sound. I'm somewhat of an audiophile and an ear for good sound quality, I've been a self taught digital producer since 2006. On PC the G633 sound is very clean. Highs, mids, and lows are well balanced without one overpowering the other. The option to change equalizer settings on the Logitech Gaming Software, along with other ways to personalize the headset is an added bonus. The 7.1 surround sound is really immersive on PC, on console I find the surround sound isn't so aggressive but it is there. On the console the G633 has great sound range but would come down to the type of game you're playing. Changing in-game audio settings can also boost your headset sound experience. Mic quality is good, I was told there are no distortions or feedback in-game. However, a little sensitive to picking up background noises at times. What sealed it for me were the dual audio input capabilities, with the USB cord plugged to the PS4, and the 3.5mm cord into my laptop. I can hear all in-game sound, talk to friends, and listen to music at the same time. Great for keeping noise at a minimum during late night gaming sessions. I highly recommend the Logitech G633, great for PC and double as a console headset.

Great headset, good audio quality. Mic quality is OK, has good sensitivity. Both ear pieces swivel independently, which takes some getting used to. Overall, a good quality design with good quality sound. Well worth the price.

This (as well as the corresponding wireless g933) is the last Logitech headset that supports Dolby Headphone for surround emulation. It actually supports both Dolby Headphone and DTS:X Headphone, and the user can choose either of them. Unfortunately, this is not the case for any next headset by Logitech, as g633 pro, g635 (as well as g933 pro and g935) and onwards support only DTS:X. As I have tried both, I can easily tell how good is Dolby's emulation and how bad is DTS:X. You can check it yourself. My opinion is with respect to surround sound (5.1 or 7.1 sources) only, not spatial sound. In spatial sound implementation DTS:X is pretty good as is Dolby Atmos (not Dolby Headphone), both of which do not require any support by the manufacturer (they can be bought as a separate windows app). Because of Logitech's dropping of support for Dolby, buying any newer Logitech headset is out of option for me. So, I am stacked with g633 that I love or I have to find a newer headset as good as g633. With regard to the seller (Laptops, Electronics & More) I have only the best feedback to express. There was a big problem with FedEx's service in customs clearance, but thanks to the best efforts and great support of the seller side it was overcome. One of my best amazon experiences. Thank you.
