Love these lights. I attached them to an old broken chandelier and hung them on my front porch. They are gorgeous. The best way to deal with these lights is to put them in place first, while they are still in a "broom" shape, then open up the strands carefully one by one. If you open them up first and then try to deal with hanging or placing them, you will bend the wires and have to redo all your work. Setting them up takes some patience and diligence, but they're worth it. I also use tweezers to separate the strands if they are twisted together in the middle. Bend them outwards one by one, starting at the outer edges, and carefully going inwards to the center strands, so you don't cross them. For my chandelier project I placed them upside down on each candle nib, so I am also keeping it under the porch roof. Although it says they're waterproof, we get a lot of rain here and I wasn't sure if the cone-shaped housing for each cluster might fill with water like a thimble cup, so I decided not to risk it. It does get wet in this spot still, but not fully rained on. It's held up great in the strong winds so far. They are really bright, and to my eye they are more of a stark white than a warm white. I wish they were a little more yellow or even amber in color, to mimic firelight more. My porch is painted yellow, so the pic makes it look warmer than they really are. The light they cast is a very bright white, especially on the highest brightness. These things are so bright they light my whole porch almost too much. I keep them on the lowest, dimmest setting and they still are brighter than my actual porch light. For those of you saying the remote doesn't work: You have to point the remote at the power source, not the lights themselves. The remote reader is located only at the base of the plug, battery pack, or solar connection. Aim the remote at the blue light on the power source and it works fine. I like the twinkling effect pattern best, but also wish it went a little slower. The fast flashing on these things needs an epilepsy warning. It strobes so fast it's painful. All in all these things are great. Just take your time setting them up and it will pay off.

Writing this so hopefully it will help others . Great product just works backwards. The timer on all of mine doesn’t work . It took me a couple of days to realize the problem. When I used the timer it would stay on all night and I discovered it was still on in the mornings . So after a few days of frustration I decided to see if it worked backwards. Yes it did ! Turn it completely off just turn it on and don’t push the timer and it works ! Turns off in 6 hrs and comes back on the next day at the same time . I read reviews on this where people were disappointed that theirs didn’t work correctly so I’m glad I figured this out so it would help others . Got great compliments from my neighbors saying it looks like upside down Christmas trees on my front porch.

These five off very little light. They use up batteries fast!! Not worth the expense of batteries for a few hours of operation. There is a remote for each one but one didn't work at all and the other needed to be a few feet away to work. So I had walk out into freezing cold every time I needed to turn on or off. You can't leave them on long or they will use up the battery. I needed them to put light on the walkway. So I had to walk outside to turn them on before guests arrived...turn off when they did...turn back on when they were leaving and turn off after they left.... ridiculous. Regret this purchase and will not use this company.

OK so let me tell you about this “ sparkly hanging twirling light. One looks nice! But I could see a cluster of them really light up a room. I have this hanging in my kitchen above the high cabinets. I don’t have to turn on the light in my kitchen at night because this is bright enough as I walk to the fridge. BUT?? and yes there’s a BUT… You will go through the AA batteries. Some last for 10 days some for 7 days, this has a self timer on it and come on and goes off by itself. So plan on having a drawer full of batteries. I love it so much! But I do have to watch my funds. So I guess if you love candles you could use those till you can get to the store for those batteries! But it seems small when you open it, but as you spread the limbs it looks better.

I love the pictures of this product and thought this would be a good addition to the million lights we have every other lighted occasion. They were not. They felt cheaply made, and the lights were not what I was hoping. The price was fair dor the product you receive. Installation appeared tl be easy; however, I didn’t make it very far. I would recommend if you just want something quick and easy. I would not recommend if you want high quality, long lasting, and versatile lights.

I read the reviews and wondered if this light would be "too good to be true". Turns out this is pretty darn good. The lights are not that bright, but I put a white one on my patio and like the dimness that still allows me to see my glass. Maybe two or three would be a good amount for a small group of people to enjoy a nice outdoor ambiance. The wires are about eight inches long so if you spread them out you would get the 17 inches they describe. I took my time opening them. The remote works fine and I like it better than the battery case button. Lots of flashing variety to choose from, but just leave it on steady so you don't destroy the mood. The battery case seems a little cheap and I don't know how long they will last. I could see this type of lighting at a winter dance or New Year's Eve party. I'm content with it on my patio for now.

This fairy light is beautiful - hung outside - appears to be waterproof - it twinkles & dances in the wind....and it has a remote control - Perfect!! When it is dark outside, it is so beautiful - soothing. One must be gentle/patient separating the strands - very much worth the modes price.

Item was shipped without the ground stake, though that wasn’t a deal breaker, as the plan was to attach it higher in a tree to get above snow levels. However, as others have mentioned, there are little to no instructions. Item keeps turning off. Regardless of using the back buttons on the solar panel or the remote, lights will on stay on for 10 minutes before turning off. Not ideal. Really wanted solar for these “snowball” style hanging lights, but these just don’t seem to work.
