After doing some online search, I came across a children's game that appeared to be both entertaining and educational. As a parent, I value the benefits of gaming for children, while also prioritizing the inclusion of educational content. The game in question is known as Plugo and is developed by PlayShifu. Specifically, we opted to purchase the spelling and grammar kit. The setup process was relatively straightforward, with the most time-consuming aspect being the creation of an account. We utilized our daughter's Amazon tablet to access the game, which is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Although we needed to remove the tablet from its protective case, the game provides a secure holder for the device. The game mat is foldable and equipped with magnetic components to secure the letter tiles. Plugo offers a range of engaging activities that enhance vocabulary, foster letter recognition, develop problem-solving skills, and improve hand-eye coordination. The game is adaptable to various grade levels and targets key language concepts such as phonics, pronouns, spelling, sight words, prepositions, nouns, and verbs. I am pleased to report that my 7-year-old daughter has spent over an hour engrossed in these educational games, demonstrating sustained interest and enjoyment. As a parent, witnessing her engagement and learning is truly gratifying. Plugo is designed for children aged 4-10 and features customizable learning levels to cater to individual needs. This is the perfect kit for back to school! Our kids love the interactive games and storylines. It keeps them engaged for sure. Tip: make sure to follow the set up exactly and let the gray calibrate so that the letters register correctly. If you don’t, it gets really touchy and some of the letters don’t register. We also thought it would be better if the pad was one panel less or move the tray up one panel so that it doesn’t sit on the edge/so far from the screen. The pad with panels just seems a little too long but it isn’t the worst thing just takes up a bit of space. We do also wish the tray was bigger but it’s not the worst. We have the kids lay the letters out on the table to help them find them quicker than digging through the tray. Other than that, we love it. It’s definitely worth the price. Plus it’s semi compact so can be easily packed and accompany you on your travels. We love that we can set up different kid profiles and it customizes the games for the player. The color scheme is great too!

I can’t believe you can get such a system for this price. The box this comes in is made for easy set up and storage, the flaps on the box have a magnet that shuts and secures the pad and letter tray really nicely. You can get this up and running and connected to the app in less than a minute. My 7 year old niece is dyslexic and has a little trouble reading and this gets her engaged, learning and having fun all at the same time. The games are pretty cool, crossword and fill in the blank type stuff, etc. The only problem is getting the iPad camera and the letter tray lined up, you might have to fiddle around with it to get it just right. You would expect this to be around $100.00, and I’ve seen it on Macy’s for $55.00-$60.00. If you grew up in late 80’s early 90’s like me it will remind you of touch typing for beginners. The repetition will help any kid in elementary school. My niece can set it up and put it away on her own any time she wants. I hate to put a screen in front of a little kid but I think this really helps out and will make them a better reader and speller.

This is a really fun tool to engage in spelling and grammar activities for my second graders. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and is super easy to use. I’ve now purchased a second game to use with this learning kit.

It never worked it didn’t see the correct letters. My granddaughter was very frustrated with it and so was my son and Daughter-In-Law. I wish I knew what was going on. I would’ve returned it, but it passed the returned date.

The letter towels were fine. The pad itself is I think broken because it doesn’t work. I didn’t send it back because I have another one, but I still need my students to read so I kept it.

Works good. Grandkids haven't been that entertained yet with it but they are still a little young.

Watch pricing! Bought this just to use the letters portion for spelling time so review is for that half without app usage.. Came in a huge box with the custom stickers already lifted off the box (yes possibly previously used), was surprised it was as small as it is based on box size/weight. It is comparable to like a pencil pouch in size, the letters sit in a slide out part for storage and then the top piece that holds individual letters flips up and down. Very easy to travel with and not worry about losing pieces because you can shut it up tight.

The plugo letter set was super quick and easy to set up. My 4 year old loves that the app is interactive and talks to him as he learns to spell out word - he spent ages flicking through each of the games and uses it often. Definitely a fantastic learning through play tool.
