My honest opinion is that the first two months it completely didn’t work. My cat would still have a lot of fleas. Maybe it was the way I was putting it but this month complete 180. It works to the T.

Has NO effect on fleas...**DON'T BOTHER**
One of our cats had a flea infestation and the most common product to try first is Front Line Plus. I saw Amazon Basics had a comparable product that was supposed to be the same product for a more reasonable price. The cat was having a severe allergic reaction to the fleas and was losing hair and had open sores on her back. She was pretty miserable.I ordered the product based on the apparent good rating and number of reviews without looking closely at the actual reviews. that was a mistake. I got the product and applied it as directed. I waited for 24 hours and kept an eye on the flea activity on her bare spot. After 24 hours, there was no effect on the fleas at all, and they just kept getting worse. I thought maybe it was just taking more time to start working. I kept monitoring the flea activity, and 48 hours, then 72 hours, then a full week passed with no change at all. I thought I had maybe not applied enough directly to her skin, or there was an issue with the dose I used, so I actually re-treated her early after about a week, and was very careful to get it all on her skin while applying it while she was sleeping. Another week passed and the fleas just got worse. We have two other cats in the household and they started having fleas show up on them, and all three cats are indoor cats that have had no flea issues in their lifetime (10 years+). I treated the other two cats with the same product, was very careful to get it all on their skin, and the results were the same after a week. The fleas just increased in number and there was not a single dead flea to be found when combing. I ended up having to get a different topical treatment and Capstar pills to treat the adult fleas. The Capstar worked like a charm and fleas were dropping off and dying after 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not sure if the company that makes this product for Amazon is having issues with quality control, dosing, or what, but I'll never try their brand flea products again. Buyer beware.

Excellent price and worked safely.
This product got rid of fleas on my kitten weighing only about two pounds over the course of about 24 hours. I picked off the remaining flea carcasses from kitty's ears and then she was all clear after the meds worked through. I will note that a tiny bit of the product did get in kitty's mouth which caused her to drool a lot. Something to watch out for.I had a horrible experience with hartz brand in the past with my adult cat, so I was very nervous trying topical treatment again on a pet. I'm so thankful that this product worked and did not harm my kitten. 😺

It won't work
This is the second time I purchased and apply it to our kitties.Neither time it work and the cats continued to have fleas, whether the same day or several days later.Bad to the point that instead of one month intervals we did it two weeks later. This product, although less expensive, is absolutely worthless.

Works well
Worked for our indoor AND outdoor cats! One of our indoor cats has very sensitive skin. We give her food for sensitive systems and plant based litter. I was worried about changing from our usual brand, but she did amazing with this.We have 4 outdoor cats that are “lovable wild” cats. They put their miles in. After applying this to each of them we saw no more ticks over the next month. That’s saying a lot, because this season already had us plucking multiple ticks from them.We are on our second round and plan to buy again.

The smell is horrible
This stuff STINKS!!!! Smells like a decaying animal. Can't tell if the stuff works or not because the animal I put it on was already bathed and drenched in permethrin the day before. This was meant as a longer term doseEdit: does not work. I tried multiple times on the same animal, never noticed any less fleas. Don't waste your money

Works as well, if not better, than brand-name products.
Have one indoor/outdoor cat. My others stay inside, but my indoor/outdoor cat brings fleas inside. This has stopped that from happening. I was a little nervous about purchasing off-brand, but this product quickly solved the flea problem for grown adult cats around 16 pounds each. No irritation. Never found a tick. The size is the perfect amount. Would highly recommend and not waste your money on the costly brand-name ones. This works just as good, if not better.

FLAWED DESIGN, TERRIBLE APPLICATOR
I want to like this because I have five cats and the price is unbeatable. I can't really evaluate the medicine itself because the application method is terrible. The vials are over sized cylindrical tubes with a small amount of liquid in the bottom. You have to cut the tips off, not snap, and the edges can be sharp and wide and need to be trimmed down. Unlike the brand they're copying they have an unnecessary amount of air in the tube so when you try to apply it quickly to the nape of the neck it shoots out like a blow dart and scares the cat. Furthermore the liquid comes out so quickly it's almost impossible to apply it properly on the skin and it winds up on the surface of the fur, drips down the neck and is dry and gone by the next day. No little oily spot for a few days like usual. All of my outside cats reacted the same way and none of them got their proper dose because of this.Normally with Frontline the cats freak out as soon as they feel the liquid touch their skin, which takes about one second. This blow dart air gun makes them freak out as soon as it's "shot" and therefore the crucial moment of skin contact is gone. Apparently this is one of those things that they will always remember. All of a sudden they're skittish anytime my hands are near their neck. This can be remedied if the manufacturer simply copied the Frontline vial or made a similar vial with much less air in it. I'm still trying to figure out how to modify these tubes to make them work better, adding a small vent hole may help, or maybe even use an eye dropper to apply the liquid instead.
