Perfect white primer for my DnD miniature painting nights 🎲
I spend my weekend evenings painting DnD miniatures for my weekly tabletop game. I picked up this The Army Painter matt white 400ml acrylic primer spray and it exceeded my expectations. The nozzle sprays an ultra-fine mist, so it never clogs or buries tiny model details. It dries really fast and leaves a smooth matte white base. Acrylic paints stick nicely on top, and colors pop much brighter than over gray primer. Works great on plastic minis for my Warhammer army too. The 400ml can lasts a long time. No overspray issues when I spray outside. This has become my go-to primer for all my hobby projects, highly recommended!🖌️

Best white primer on the market
I get it. You're wondering what makes this worth 3x as much as a can of Rust-Oleum? In short: it self levels far better (read: less likely to clog details), it DRINKS up acrylic paint, and it gives great coverage (I do recommend two very thin coats still). The white is great for making brighter schemes pop. The black is the obvious choice for keeping recesses dark (free detail). (Er... don't judge the printer by my bad painting... and mold line cleanup.)

Great primer
Only issue I had with it was when I first got it and it sprayed some extra particles over my first mini. Honestly its my fault I just suggest spraying it for a few seconds before first use. Other than that it spread great and had great coverage. I actually used the whole can and intend to buy a replacement! I let mine dry for 24 hours before painting.

Broken can, cheap nozzle
Good paint, but they have issues with the plastic protective cap. There are special instructions for taking the cap on and off. The instructions aren’t on the can. If you treat it like a normal spray can you can break the spray nozzle off. If you get one I suggest leaving the cap off. They did make good and offer me a refund or a replacement can.

Noob Friendly with Professional Results, Really
I feared I'd spray my N scale models with blotches or whatever. That never happened, what happened were easy passes that resulted in a solid coat of primer without clogging any brick detailing Pros: - Very user friendly, even if you rarely ever use spraypaint (like me) - Relatively affordable - Excellent professional quality (even my cheap acrylics adhere to it just fine) - Sprays cleanly without feeling like you have to press down too hard (if you're doing short bursts on small objects, this matters a lot) Cons: - I really wish they'd add a rotating nozzle like newer spraycans have so we can decide how it sprays out Usage: - N Scale Train layouts using Resin prints, with ultra fine detailing - it does great

Works great, only concern is price
Works great, dries fairly quickly, and lasts for a good amount of minis. Sometimes struggles to get all the areas of the mini evenly but this is more of a skill issue on my end than on that of the pain. Sprays well, doesn't seem to leak. Smells strongly so I recommend you use it outside. My only real issue with it is that it feels a little overly pricey even for what I got, but I understand production systems play a part and beyond that have no real concerns.

Poor Quality and Unpredictable results
Let's face it, when you put a lot of time into painting a miniature, you are already invested. That much time and effort deserve a good product. I've used Army Painter Quickshade on literally hundreds of miniatures with excellent results. (I tried using stain as a dipping method because it was so much cheaper but I wasn't happy with the results.) Because Quickshade gave such excellent results, I decided to use the partner product "Army Painter Anti-shine". The first can or two was okay, nothing fabulous but it really made the Quickshade look good. After a couple of cans, I got what I thought was a bad can and it sprayed white all over my miniatures. This experience was repeated on three more cans of the product out of four cans over a year or so. I always followed spraying instructions to the letter, but I stored the cans in the garage where I thought they might have been damaged because of extreme temperatures. (I'd had good results in the past, so it seemed logical.) I recently (September 2018) bought one last can, which cost $15 and took a full week to arrive because spray paint has to be delivered by ground. I kept the can in the house for a week until I had proper spraying weather and again, followed the directions to the letter, only to find white residue on newly painted and dipped miniatures. Very disappointing! I remembered that I had an old can of Krylon (clear flat) that was used for a Halloween craft project a couple of years ago in the garage. (Walmart, $4.97 for a 25% larger can... This spray had been exposed to the same elements the Anti-shine cans had.) I decided to try it on one miniature, so I picked one I didn't like as much and ten seconds later, it was perfect. No overspray. No shine. No extra coats. No waiting. Done perfectly at 1/3 the cost! I'm convinced! Anti-shine is simply not a reliable product, particularly for the price point. If you are a haven't tried Quickshade yet, by all means, do so. You won't regret it. It's definitely worth the extra cost, but do yourself, your wallet, and your miniatures a favor and stay away from Army Painter Anti-shine. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Easy spray that saves me time on hobby nights
Even though I bought this for my home office, it mostly lives next to my printer and paint rack. I do admin work by day and paint DnD and Warhammer minis after dinner to decompress. I grab an old Amazon box, step out to the balcony, shake this can for a bit, then do quick passes. It goes on smooth and dries fast enough that I can start basecoating before my tea gets cold. I like that the white is bright without looking chalky, so my colors pop more. The night I primed a whole squad between answering work emails I was really glad I had it.

Bester Primer für Warhammer
Gewohnt gute Qualitlt, sehr ergiebig und schnelltrocknend. Obwohl es deutlich günstigere Alternativen gibt, ist das mein all time Favorit!

Good product worth the price can be a bit expensive good luck
This product is good for sprain model kits before you actually pay them and put the detail on. I would highly recommend the spray it was expensive but well worth every penny. I don’t have an example because the kid I got I didn’t buy from Amazon so I can’t show it good luck.

Top - Grundierung

Goid Primer
I bought The Army Painter Color Primer in White to prep a black metal piece, and the results are fantastic. The coverage is impressive—it managed to mask the original black surface perfectly. What I loved most was how quickly it dried; it was touch-dry in just a few minutes, which really sped up my project. The finish is smooth and creates the perfect base for the final coat of paint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professional-grade primer
