Useful maintenance reference book

Considering this is one of the most popular BMW models Haynes seemed to have put so little effort into the production of this manual. Compared with other manuals I've owned this is poorly illustrated. The pictures are black and while low resolution and dimly light. It's difficult to figure which orientation or direction many pictures are taken from. It really needs a section on error messages and diagnostics. Overall engine diagrams would really help place the main items. Better key component diagrams and assembly diagrams required. I'll maybe try another manual company next time.

Usual Haynes standard but does not specifically apply to the 2.2 litre engine sport estate variant so the title is misleading
