Tricky to start, but worth the wait!
I waited to write a review because it took some time to figure these out. I spent months trying to get them to germinate with no luck. Last ditch effort was soaking them overnight in a cup of water before sowing in my Click & Grow, and... SUCCESS!! The plants grew very slowly in the beginning, and it took almost 6 months in the Click & Grow before I felt comfortable transplanting to my yard. I figured since I live in the Phoenix desert (Zone 9b) it would be happy in full sun, and boy was I right! My white sage plant has been outside 2 years now, and I leave it be until it's time to harvest in the spring (April-May). It gets a little unwieldy by harvest time if you don't trim it back, as pictured, but I prefer leaving it until it's filled out before cutting. Final picture is about half the bundles I made from this year's harvest. The plant smells amazing and does well on the drip system with the rest of my plants. Not sure how it would do in other climates, but Arizona desert doesn't seem to be much different than it's native California one. So be patient and willing to try the seeds a couple different ways. They are tricky to get started, but once you find out what works, you won't be disappointed!

Not a beginner herb!
I planted nearly the whole packet in about 3-4 different ways using sandy soil: Indoors in pods with a heating pad, outdoors in pods, in a large pot, and on a wet paper towel in a plastic bag. The paper towel method has seen some sprouts, and I set that up 3 days ago. As of this morning, I've counted 4 sprouts on the paper towel. I won't see anything in the soil for a while. But I figured I'd make sure people know that these seeds are indeed viable; it's just difficult to convince white sage to start growing. Do lots of research and you should be good to go.

Easy to grow if you know what to do
I seeded an entire grow tray with these white sage seeds due to their low-germination rate. I was hoping to eventually get just a few plants even. The KEY to getting white sage to germinate is you DO NOT cover the seeds. They require light for germination. To grow these, I took an all purpose seed starting soil and placed a few seeds on top of the soil in each cell. Did not cover them with soil at all. With a spray bottle I lightly sprayed and watered each seed cell, and covered the tray with a plastic greenhouse dome. I put the seed tray on a seedling heat mat that keeps a temperature of about 75ยฐ and had a full spectrum grow light on them around the clock. I got germination on my first seed in about 5 days. Today is day 8 and I have three more sprouting. No doubt more are coming. These are good quality seeds. If you follow the right steps for germinating white sage, Iโm sure youโll also have success.

Didn't germinate
These seeds are awful. I planted half the package and only 1 (one) Seed germinated. Waste of money, time and other supplies. I WILL NOT purchase this again. Highly disappointed โน๏ธ

Gonna try another order
Only one of the seeds sprouted. Then withered. I'm thinking maybe it was a bad batch. Shipping was fast.

Germinating in water helps!
To germinate I let the seeds sit in water over night then put them in starter seed mix. It's been one week and I see little plant babies sprouting. Looking forward to watching them grow more.
