Looks awesome
Bought for my 2017 tacoma. Perfect fit. No issues.3M tape with a red backing to stick, and the on front is a cover and then a film to protect the black. Be careful when peeling the film off. Some black came off on the film.Makes a HUGE difference for looks!!! Love it. Probably the best and most simple upgrade on my truck.Gave 4 stars due to the black coming off a bit.

Surprisingly Bad Quality for the Price
I'm very disappointed with this product. The manufacturer sent me a USED package that someone previously tried to place on a truck and then put some of the paper back on the adhesive side of the letters, then returned the letters. Clearly, BDTrims made absolutely no effort putting the used letters in new packaging since the original packaging had been cut open then taped back closed. It looks like they just sent out the same parcel that was received from the previous customer. Additionally, two of the letters were bent from the previous customer trying to peel the letters off from the tailgate when they were stuck on. Now, they do not sit flush on my tailgate and seams along the plastic are visible."High quality" is pretty misleading for this product. The manufacturer did not take the time to smooth the rough edges and bits of melted plastic still attached from the laser cutting process. When I received the letters, I had to sand the edges to get a much nicer finish. The plastic itself appears to be of decent quality but the process by which it was manufactured definitely has much room for improvement. These letters certainly aren't worth $25 considering no time is taken to produce the product to look like you got your money's worth AND they might end up sending you a used package from a smarter customer that realized how poor quality they were out of the box. Now, I wish I'd rather have bought "low quality" vinyl letters instead of these used pieces of poorly manufactured plastic. If you're like me and are anal about your truck, pass this product up and save up for the Toyota brand matte black letters. Don't waste your time or hard-earned money on these "high quality" letters.

Painted plastic?
Product looks great, mostly. I am concerned about the life of it though. As I peeled the protective white paper from my letter O, some of the paint came off with it. I was hoping this was just plastic that wouldn't chip or peel in time. I must be mistaken, sadly, it appears that the paint or coating used isn't adhering very well.I did contact seller about replacement of my O. They replaced my whole set of letters. A pain to get off, but at least I know they'll stick. Kept 1 star off for the original concern. Great customer service on behalf of the seller, 5 star job there.

Beware, close but not a good product
Should have read others. Both the A and M ended up with a small amount of the letter with a dull finish. You can see in the pictures the black which came off. So sad. No way to leave seller feedback except for this.

Love It!
Got a new Tacoma last week...Magnetic Gray...I purchased the piano black lettering for the embossed tailgate branding. It looks awesome! An added punch that really makes the truck standout! Notes: 1) Follow the simple directions included with your lettering. 2) Bring a pocket knife with you. A small blade will help with lifting the red plastic covering the adhesive on the back of each letter, but be careful not to lift the adhesive from the lettering itself when doing so. Take your time and choose the thickest corner of the particular letter you are working with. 3) once the lettering is in place, the white backing on each letter can be easily removed by using your fingernail on any edge. If after removing the white backing the lettering looks a bit dull, it could be that a transparent film is still adhered to the letter. Just use your figernail to gently "scratch" the edges and lift it up. The very thin transparent film will come right off. I wouldn't use the pocket knife for this. It comes off quite easily just digging at it a bit.

Looks ok but pretty cheap and not sure they will look good after being beat up by elements
You may want to spend the extra $10-20 and get the slightly more expensive ones although I cannot speak to the quality of those either. The red backing on the adhesive is very difficult to get off and even using a pocket knife to try and get some of the red backing raised I ended up messing up the adhesive a bit on a couple of letters. I am hoping that after they were pressed into the stamped letters on the tailgate the adhesive will be ok. As others said, the white backing can peel off some of the coating and leave them looking a bit rough, you can see that when up close but not so much when a few feet away. My package came with a couple of the letters kinda stuck to the thick paper sheet with the instructions on it which makes me think the adhesive got pretty warm at some point and "oozed" a little causing them to stick to the paper, this may be why the red backing was very difficult to remove without messing up the adhesive. I am really concerned about how well they will look after the sun, snow, and other nature elements beat them up a bit. If they don't look good for at least a couple of years I will be very annoyed as I am sure removing them will mess up the paints finish, really don't think they will last for the lifetime of the truck or anything.

A must have item for a new Tacoma!
They fit perfectly. Received these letters in a very small, but sealed package. Instructions were easy to follow. When applying, I used a small razor blade to peel back the edge of the "Red" side of the letters, one at a time, and it helped to be about 70 degrees outside. If you try to peel back the red tape covering with your fingers, you may peel off the sticky rubberized glue along with it on the back of the letters. Be careful, take your time and follow the included instructions exactly. Once I mounted the letters, I used a soft dry cloth to really press each one down. Result? Very happy. They really dress up the "TACO". Bottom line: Good Stuff. Very satisfied.
