Worth the try!
this was by far the easiest trap I have ever had to deal with. All you do is just open the box and place them. It is safe for our dogs, I don't have to worry about them getting into the trap. Would definitely get these again if we needed it.

Worked for my issue
After about a week, this seems to have solved my issue. Happen to see the path it was using. So I placed these along that path. Checked a couple days after and noticed bite marks on the bait. Couple more days have gone by and I see zero sign that they're still here.

Great product! Poisoned mice are not contained and do drop poison
For me these traps worked great! I gave them 3 stars because when I came home there was a dead mouse right in front of my dogs crate. My older dog was standing over the mouse sniffing it I think. After I read the box and the reviews about this product harming people's animals, both the traps went right in the trash. I wiped off my counter and there were pieces of green poison on the counter and the stove top. I need to get rid of the mice but I don't want anything to happen to my dogs. So hopefully I can find a better way. I do not recommend these traps if you have small children that crawl around on the floor, or pets. The mice drop the poison while carrying it off. I know better than to buy poison traps because they harm animals. When I came home and there were 4 mice on my counter I freaked out and wanted them gone immediately!! Hopefully I can find a better way to get rid of the mice, without causing myself stress and anxiety about the safety of my dogs. Update.... I just added an additional star, in less then 24 hours these bait traps killed every mouse in our house. Now let me explain alittle more. I ๐ ce in the middle of a horse farm as nd even with barn cats there is still a mouse problem. They are small mice, I am guessing field mice, so these bait traps worked great. Like I said the main down side is the poisoned mice being near our pets. Which freaked me out and caused me to trash them. Other than that they are great!!! Ohhhh one more thing. Once the mice eat the poison they don't seem to make it out of your house. So your house starts to smell disgusting and you get to go on a dead mouse hunt!!! No it was not fun at all!!! They were under the oven, the refrigerator, and I think there might be another one some where that we haven't found yet ๐

Worked in less than a week!
This thing works like magic. I noticed rat droppings by my pool pump and covered patio. Left a trap in each area and within a week both traps were flipped over with half the bait gone. Highly recommended

Works Surprisingly Well So Far - Beware! Needs Better Packaging!!!
05/20/24: These work well but the packing, or lack thereof, make them a hazard to everyone who handles them from the warehouse all the way to the delivery folks, no matter who delivers. I had been getting them in closed bottom, Amazon paper envelopes which helped somewhat with the hazard, but still a danger. TomCat NEEDS to sell the bait stations sealed in plastic so that there's a chance they will reach the consumer without endangering everyone who handles them along the way. Got mine today shipped in a box with paper padding. Oh yeah, that helped. Delivered by the Post Office and the grains of bait were everywhere in the box and on the paper. Unavoidable and I'll bet if the Post Office knew that they were transporting hazardous bait they would refuse to deal with the deliveries at all. I've yet to get a box delivered by the Post Office that wasn't beat to death. Because of this I have changed my rating to one star. I always immediately place the bait stations I receive into ziploc freezer gallon bags. They're the sturdiest and the zippers don't fail. Not feeling well today so I grabbed some trash bags to put them in until I'm up to dealing with them again. The point is, put them in something to keep them fresh as soon as possible. I usually change mine out before the bait is fully gone because I hear the activity ramp up and I know a bunch will be here if I don't. 04/25/24: Just get these! Yes, they really work and I'm so thankful! Because I live rural-adjacent and I'm surrounded by fields to my back, the critters want in the house to do their dirty and have their young. It wasn't too bad until Covid hit and a lot of folks moved away. No more food for the vermin population via their trash and so they keep searching until they reach here. Love this bait so much. I can hear them eating the blocks and then they leave and it gets quiet. Every once in a while I can slightly smell the decay but not bad. This tells me they're carrying some in their mouth elsewhere to share and this is exactly what I want. Buh bye rats and mice! 03/05/24: Bought these in Feb. but just placed them a couple of days ago. Had a lot of activity beforehand that my previous bait wasn't handling. Now there's no evidence. I haven't checked the bait yet but the noise has dropped totally which means the vermin in the walls, sub-flooring, attic, are dead for now. I will keep buying. For those looking at these to buy, the price is high but the bait size is huge and it's well configured inside the trap to keep them from stealing it so that have to eat enough to definitely die and then carry any left in their mouths back to the nests. Impressive design. Had to buy these due to WA State shipping laws. Might be able to get something cheaper but also more dangerous locally but I'm disabled so must ship in. WEAR GLOVES when opening product box and placing bait box as they are both covered with bait bits and dust. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS. This review will be updated if necessary.

5 Stars because previously they worked for us
I've given 5 stars for this because while this particular station didn't attract and kill our rats the previous Tomcat station I purchased locally did. When we ordered this prefilled station I still had 2 blocks of poison left from my old station and they are not touching that either. Its almost like the rats realized all of the rat community was slowly dying and now won't touch it. I should explain that when I started to use Tomcat bait in early 2024 we had on any given night 10-15 rats and mice that would visit our bird feeders, sometimes even before dark, which is how we knew how many there were. We had tried mint spray, planting herbs (they ate them) and also a device that made a high pitched noise. Started using Tomcat bait and over the course of the Spring and Summer we used 10 blocks of poison and the rodents all disappeared. Fall we saw a couple so ordered these because we were low on poison. I will continue using these because I don't know what else to do and I'm not using something like a glue trap where they take days to die. I would like to add that if you order this product and have pets please be careful where you open the package. Some of the poison was loose in the Amazon package and sprinkled over my driveway when I opened it, which scared me a little as I have dogs and I could have opened the package next to them.

Fall is coming so get them
I have purchased these every fall and bought the last package a few weeks ago to be ready for cooler fall weather and mice. I like that they are already loaded. I also bought peppermint spray that they hate too.
