Oxford Campus, A5 Notebook, Lined, 140 Page, Assorted Colours, Pack of 3

Excellent quality and more affordable notepads than are offered by the likes of Rhodia, Clairefontaine etc, any of which would be several times more expensive when available in similar page sizes and counts; the paper they use would not necessarily be of higher quality despite the price differentials. The paper used in "Oxford Campus Wirebound Notebook, A4 Size - Navy, Pack of 5" is bright white and 100% fountain-pen compatible, not that Oxford make that statement on their Campus products, but it has been confirmed by personal trial and usage. Fountain pens with different grades of nib and filled with different colours and qualities of inks were used and there was no feathering or bleed-through, even with the broadest nib and the wettest and darkest ink from a large collection.The pads are A4+ to allow for the wire binding and the micro-perforations that allow the removed sheets to be identical in size to anything A4. The pages have a 'starter cut-out' to facilitate the tear-down and to ensure clean removal. There is standard pre-punching for both 2- and 4-hole binders, a reasonable side margin and about 9mm line-spacing with a thin grey line. The paper is smooth with a slight sheen and of 90gsm weight, and therefore slightly heavier than used in most similar pads. Each pad holds 70 sheets, 140 pages. There is an area inside of the front cover for personalisation which may be useful for students.The back card is quite light and not very stiff, possibly demanding additional support if the pad is to be used other than on a desktop but that is not uncommon.Although more expensive than basic pads of a similar type and size, the far higher quality of the paper used and its friendliness towards fountain pen use will be easily justified for those who need it. As an alternative to the navy set ordered, other colours are available as well as a 'mixed' set, all of 5 pads and at the same price, just under £3 per pad.Those previously committed to the higher priced, French-, US- or Japanese-made fountain pen pads should certainly try these. They will be more than pleasantly surprised and will save a substantial amount over time should they change allegiance.

I always use these Oxford notebooks on site and in meetings.Although slightly heavy to carry around, the notebooks have these benefits:1. A biro can be stored in the spiral spine2. the pages open fully flat courtesy of the wide spiral spine3. one book lasts me properly through a whole year of being carried in a briefcase4. Pages are lined and margined5. Any pages that have to be removed are perforated and also 4-way punched for storing in a file6. the paper is good quality 90gsm and so individual sheets survive outside the book if removed.

Arguably, the best notebooks for important note taking. Not cheap, a little pricey, but the quality of the paper justifies this higher cost. The ability to also tear out perfectly sized A4 pages easily, without compromising on the size of the paper when torn (with other notebooks its A4 paper to begin with, you tear a page and its what A4.1?) is another excellent quality of this notebook.In relation to the usage of pens, I've not come across a pen which bleeds through this paper so far, I often use fountain pens/roller ball pens and its common to have ink bleed through onto the next page with other notebooks, resulting in neat handwriting and careful attention look like a waste of time.In conclusion, these notebooks certainly aren't the cheapest around, but they are worth every penny. It’s a great quality set of books however we should have the choice to choose what colours we want but other than that they are perfect books for University or College

Good writing books thick pages. Doesn’t transfer ink through papers. Very durable for college and education. Comes in vibrant colours

Love the scan feature it has its own Oxford app and u can use the special pages to scan notes to your phone so u can read on the go

The paper is good quality A5 at 90GSM most note books are 70/75GSM this can lead to colour bleed from the other side if you write with black gel ink as I do. They take any colour well good for making notes and when removed from book come pre holed so can be stored in A5/A4 folders which is handy to add notes to printed material in an A4 folder.The added ability to "scan" them using the app (I have an apple phone free on the app store) is very useful so you can carry notes with you without the need for hte paper good when you have to revise information by rout for exams means you don't have to keep rewriting them. Colours were good got a black blue and pink gave to misses will buy more at this price.

This paper is so smooth and easy to write on. It makes your penmanship look amazing. I love that you can snap a pic and store the document too. The notebook is a great size for work or school. It's my new fav!
