Is this backpack waterproof?

Back portion is waterproof, as my water shoes did not get anything else wet. I would say it’s water resistant, to a certain degree. Carried it during a rainstorm in the rainforest of Costa Rica near waterfalls & while things were damp from my backpack the items in my companion’s regular backpacks were soaked.

The backpack is a very good quality nylon. There is only single fabric for interior sections, no lining. It is opaque, not see-through fabric.
