Worked perfectly - Plug-n-Play in a 2014 Ford Escape
Overall Upgrade Process:Upgraded my 2014 Ford Escape SYNC 2 system with this SYNC 3 system. I watched a video to learn how to make the swap - found on YouTube - and did the install myself in about 30 minutes total. This included driving around the neighborhood to test it out. Physical access is very easy. This kit includes all the tools you will need. I didn't end up using the orange plastic tools much - but glad I had them in case I need them because pulling various interior panels in cars can be tricky. I've done several car updates like that; such as new stereos, new speakers, backup camera, etc with various types of cars, so I did have some experience with electrical upgrades in cars. This is hands down the easiest thing to do. If you can follow a video and use a screwdriver, you can do this update. Does not require any cutting, soldering, etc.Customer Service of Bestycar:Bestycar contacted almost immediately after I purchased and asked for details on my car, such as VIN and a photo of the A/V connector in the glove box. They are fast to respond to questions. It shipped _very_ fast. It was less than a week after ordering, I had the package in hand.SYNC 3 System:The system is impressive. The screen is glossy, whereas the SYNC 2 screen was more matte. I have noticed additional reflections, but very minor due to how far back in a cubby hole the screen is on my car. All my previous functions just worked, including; AM/FM/HD Radio, Sirius XM, CD Player, HVAC Control and view - can control from screen or physical HVAC buttons just as before, steering wheel controls, and more. There does seem to be a few extra things the SYNC 3 system can do, but not on my year/model - but since I didn't have those features before, I'm not worried about it. Overall performance seems to be better than SYNC 2. It feels faster to respond to touches, inputs, page changes, etc. I like the default home screen a little better as it provides more information than the home screen of SYNC 2. One of the main reasons I got this was for Android Auto usage and that does not disappoint. It is well integrated into the system - ie, if you have AA running and you are back on the Ford Home page...the buttons for Audio, Phone, Nav, etc will take you directly to those apps in AA. I don't use Apple Carplay, so I can't comment on that functionality. I will say I tend to use Google Maps for navigation, but tried the Ford navigation built into the system and was impressed. The map was up-to-date and even included roads in my neighborhood that were built about a year and a half ago. The system was responsive and easy to use. I could see myself using the built in Nav just as much as Google Maps.Final Thoughts:If you have a SYNC 2 system and are looking to add a little more life/functionality to your car, this is a very nice upgrade to do. As I mentioned above, this is very easy to install by yourself.

Complete Kit, Straightforward Install
BLUF: I would recommend this upgrade, since Ford doesn't make an official upgrade kit, and Sync3 is a much better system than Sync2. I would rate 4.5 stars if possible (it's not perfect, but much better than a 4-star rating implies)PROS: - Simple install (took me 2.5hrs total) - Minimal additional tools needed (I think I also used a standard screwdriver and some pliers) - System works well and had all features advertisedCONS: - Small print instructions, specific to F-150 (workaround: use YouTube videos) - Minor programming/feature discrepanciesI'd been meaning to upgrade this system for a while. Some sites charge north of 1k for an equivalent kit. I did find some similar on Ebay for cheaper, but I've had poor luck with Ebay accepting payment, and I have more faith in Amazon's return policy - an important consideration when you are ordering something that will be shipped in from another country! The kit arrived earlier than the shipping estimate. The kit was well packaged for shipping, with ample but not excessive packing material, and easy to get to. The included instructions, though, are small and a bit hard to follow. Note that I am not reducing my rating for this, as it was the kit I was mostly interested in, and I found an excellent YouTube video tutorial specific to my vehicle (a Fusion). Most parts were independently wrapped.I followed along with a YouTube video tutorial, and found the install process, while intimidating to a layman like me, simple enough. Remove some plastic covers (the included tools help immensely), remove the audio/AC control panel, and remove the Sync2 screen and computer. Then open up a few more panels by the dash and remove the dash control panel (sounds worse than it is!) in order to install the GPS antenna. I did have trouble with the recommended location, but found a suitable alternative. Reinstall the dash and panels, then install the new Sync3 screen and computer, then the audio/AC control panel, and finally the plastic trims. Then you pop out one module in the center console to swap the USB hub, which was super easy. The whole process, including going back-and-forth to my computer inside to watch more of the YouTube tutorial, took 2.5hrs, and I am quite the novice at car repairs/upgrades. For someone with more practice, an hour is probably completely sufficient! After that, I started the car and low-and-behold, it worked! I was worried at first, because my GPS failed to register. But that was because I had done the work in the garage... after taking the car out for a brief test drive, it located the satellites and got a position fix. I confirmed that Android Auto works well, as do all of the normal features, including the steering wheel and normal audio controls. There were some snags. My GPS signal is still not great - it often plots me 5-10m off center. And the Sync3 system came programmed for a car that has heated and cooled seats - mine does not. But apart from a few non-functional images in Sync3, that does not affect anything. And if it really bothered me, I'm sure I could fix it with Forscan (which appears to be included, as well as remote tech support!), but it doesn't bother me at all.

wow, what a difference
only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the torx screws on my brackets were T20 and the driver they sent was maybe a T10... fortunately I have a set of torx driver bits so was able to make it work.the product itself is awesome, programmed for my vehicle, and installed as simply as the instructions (and related videos) suggest. I was worried about the Sirius radio, but it was already programmed with my presets and it connected as an authorized radio straight away. WAAAYY better interface. I am very happy with the purchase.

Don't Hesitate to Upgrade Your Sync 2 Any Longer!
Received the kit in about 10 days once ordered from overseas and it was programmed and ready to go. Installation took me about 2 hours with the use of the recommended YouTube video. I'm somewhat handy but would not consider myself any sort of expert. Even so, with the video, the installation went extremely smoothly. Couldn't be more pleased with the look and function of the new unit as all nascent functionality was retained with the vastly superior Sync 3 and CapPlay interface added. Screen response is dramatically faster than the old system and there is no substitute for CarPlay/Android Auto once you use it. The screen also is significantly upgraded with a shiny, more polished screen than the stock screen. If you have any older Ford with Sync 2, don't wait any longer as this kit is well worth the money and time investment.
