Great Product
Works great with my 2.5yr old G-son. Comfortable. We did end up cutting the bottoms off as that helped on the comfort end. Safety is great. Retains air well.

Best flotation ever made!!
Best floatation device ever made!! It is durable and well worth the money. Our 1.5 yr old can jump in and float around wherever he wants. It helps teach him how to swim too because it throws him off balance when he moves around. He loves wearing it too unlike other flotation devices.

Velcro closure at crotch. The Velcro is heavy duty and doesn’t easily separate but it is Velcro.
I loved this swim trainer. My 3 year old fit it perfectly. It wasn’t too big and it wasn’t too small. It kept him afloat. The tube was inflated by lungs though I wanted to inflate with a pump for max air inside the tube. The Velcro closure at the crotch never came loose but I returned the item because I know there is another product like this one with the only difference being the type of closure at the crotch. One closes with Velcro (this one) and the other closes with a connecting buckle type of closure. Two plastic ends that snap together. I feel more comfortable with the type of closure that is locked into place the way life jackets connect and stroller or high chair belts. It just makes me feel like the closure is more secure than this Velcro. This was very heavy duty Velcro though. It didn’t separate easily and as I said, it didn’t come loose once. It wasn’t cheap or dangerous at all. I just know that I prefer the other style swim trainer and would rather try that one since it’s about $10 cheaper on Amazon and also prime eligibile. ThisSwim trainer did exactly as it is supposed to. If he jumped into the pool from the outside he would go completely under water for a fraction of a second and the surface instantly due to the float. So his head would go under water but it wasn’t dangerous enough to cause chocking or water swallowing. That’s the only time he was able to be head under water, if he jumped into the pool from the outside. Other than that the swIm trainer kept his head above water while swimming or floating better than his puddle jumper. This product is exactly what it says it is. A swim trainer. So expect your toddler to put in work moving their arms, legs or preferably, both as they play in the pool. If your Toddler gets lazy or doesn’t understand the concept of kick and paddle, the will just stay still float with little movement. This style pool float is perfect for teaching toddlers how to swim. This could save life’s if used to teach small kids how to swim in water without a safety vest or float.

POS
Purchased this same product several years back. It was great. This pos isn’t worth the box it came in. No 3-6 year old will fit in this tiny cheap thing. So disappointed.

Did not fit 2-yr old
I bought this because back in the mid 1980's i had something very similar for my son and i thought it would be good for my 2yr-old grandson. i bought the size 3-6 because my grandson is the size of a 4yr-old. The suit is not long enough to fit him. the gusset is tight around his crotch and it is a little difficult to get on over his head. we tried it even though he was a little uncomfortable. in the water it worked well enough but we ended up going back to his puddle jumper because he didn't like the piece between his legs. Also, the inner tube is plastic instead of the rubber inner tube from the 1980's model so i don't know how long that would have lasted. i may give this to a friend who can try it on her little granddaughter. i had high hopes for it since it was such a great tool in training my son. i give it a 3.

Only swimming device my toddler loves and can use alone without help
We purchased this almost a year ago for our 2 yr old son (36" & 30#). He LOVED it from the first moment he jumped in the pool with it. The first time he needed some assistance as my husband did not inflate the tube enough, which caused him to sink a bit and have small balance issues. However, the second time (fully inflated) my son could perfectly balance in the pool without tipping forward, backward, or side ways. It gave him complete freedom and we loved it! He even started to jump into the pool with it after using it for an hour and it kept him mostly on top of the water (I think he liked being slightly dunked). We recommended it to my brother who bought it for my 2 yr old neice (32" & 25#), who just loves it at well! Not a problem at all. However, after almost a year with slight use (2x a month max), our tube began to leak and would not hold our son up in the water. We tried using the pool's swimming vest, but he HATED it; he kept flipping onto his back. So we purhcased one of those swim suits with the foam inserts. He HATES that too and cannot balance himself, although I'm sure in another year it will get lots of use.Wanting our son to keep enjoying the pool without being latched on to mom/dad, I found the location of the leak in the tube and made a small hole in the bottom seam and found that the tube had started to dry rot or something (cracked). We used some of that Green Slime Tire Repair stuff and I ducked taped the damaged area and sewed up my hole (can barely see it). It's completely holding air again! So I totally recommend this product as the first step for your little swimmers. If it does get a leak, just use some of that tire repair slime (non-toxic) and its back good as new. I have no idea how to prevent the tube damage in the first place though. We dried it out in the garage after every use and deflated it. Ah well!

Wish I found this sooner!
My almost 2 year old LOVED this float. We tried all different kinds for the pool and he was so nervous in the water. As soon as he tried this he was so confident and felt safe! I have told all my mom friends about this float. It is so easy to put on and take off. It keeps him floating upright and even encourages him to kick his feet and swim. For reference my son is 35” and 29 lbs and it fit him perfectly.
