As expected when purchasing Carhartt items, these gloves are durable and well made. They can withstand cold temperatures by keeping hands warm and dry. I ordered these for my partner - whose current gloves were not keeping his hands warm in Midwest winter weather. They couldn't even withstand scraping the ice and snow off the car windshield! The first size I ordered had to be returned because they were a little snug. Therefore, if you are debating which size to order, I'd select the larger one. Bottom line, these gloves protect your hands from the elements. Again, because of the brand, I think the price is reasonable.

True to size and fit used them for snow removal and worked fine

I only have these gloves for one day and used them for a while. I did not try them in wet conditions. During cold weather is not recommended to let anything get wet to start with. I am not doing outdoor activities especially in the winter. I bought these gloves to use if I have to shovel some snow from wheels of my truck, or for moving the garbage bins, or carrying things between by truck and my home during cold weather. For the one day I was wearing these gloves I found them to be comfortable and they kept my hands warm. I read a review from someone indicating when buying these, order the next size up from what you actually measure. I took this advice and did so. Even at that, they fit me okay but almost on the tight side for when putting them on or pulling them off. If I ordered the size I determined myself, they would have been too small. Gloves are like a coat. You can always wear a bigger size and be comfortable, but not a smaller size. Overall, my impression is they are decent gloves for general type use. I like them.
