Reliable Moisture Control and Easy to Recharge
I bought the Dry & Dry orange indicating silica gel beads to help control moisture in a few storage containers and they’ve worked exactly as I hoped. The beads are a good size (not dusty or crushed like some cheaper brands), and the color indicator makes it really easy to see when they’ve absorbed moisture and need to be recharged. I’m currently using them in a couple ammo cans, a camera gear box, and a storage bin in the basement where humidity can fluctuate. Within a day or two I noticed the containers stayed much drier, and the beads gradually started changing color just like they’re supposed to. It’s nice not having to guess whether they’re still working. Recharging them is simple. I spread the beads on a baking tray and put them in the oven on low heat for a while, and they returned to their original orange color. After cooling, they were ready to go right back into use. Being able to reuse them multiple times makes this a much better value than disposable moisture absorbers. The container they come in seals well and makes it easy to store the remaining beads when not in use. Overall, this is a straightforward, effective product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you need a reliable way to control moisture in storage boxes, safes, toolboxes, or electronics cases, these work great.

Work really well. Turn Green when saturated.
These work exceptional for a 3d printer to dry filament. The orange indicators turn green (different shades) when they are saturated. The 8lbs is perfect and good price. Versatile usage. Do excellent to control humidity. I can get it down to the single digits in my AMS. The beads are great. Lid seals great.

Dry filament
These dry beads have been a game changer for my 3D printing setup. If you’re serious about print quality, especially with filaments like nylon, TPU, PETG, or even PLA in a humid environment, proper moisture control isn’t optional — and these beads absolutely deliver. Since adding them to my filament storage bins, I’ve noticed a clear improvement in print consistency. No more random popping sounds, stringing caused by moisture, or weak layer adhesion. My prints come out cleaner, stronger, and far more predictable. For anyone who’s invested time dialing in profiles, you know how frustrating moisture-related issues can be — this eliminates that variable. The beads recharge easily and last a long time, which makes them cost-effective compared to constantly replacing disposable packs. I also appreciate that they work quickly. Even filament that had clearly absorbed moisture stabilized after sitting in a sealed container with these beads. Simple product. Massive impact. If you care about print quality and want reliable, professional-level results, these are a must-have. Five stars without hesitation.

Works fast, reusable.
I waited a for a few "recharge" cycles before writing my review. The beads work extremely fast to remove humidity and are easy to "recharge" or dry back out in the microwave. Sometimes you have to give them a couple zaps in the microwave to turn them back orange but its very easy to do.

Great value and works like a charm
Im using this to keep the moisture out of my bins that hold my filament and man is it performing. I have a hydrometer in the bin to check the humidity and its very low thanks to these. They are also easy to recharge making it last a long time. The color changing makes it easy to tell when I have to recharge them.

Keeping My Bambu AMS Filament Dry with Dry & Dry Silica Gel Beads
I’ve been using the Dry & Dry [2 LBS] Blue Indicating Silica Gel Beads Desiccants (Industry Standard 3-5 mm) as my go-to desiccant for the Bambu AMS, and it’s been a solid addition to my 3D printing setup. Living in a humid area, keeping filament dry is a constant battle, and these reusable silica beads have made it a lot easier to win that fight. The 2-pound jug is a perfect size for my needs—enough to fill multiple desiccant holders in the AMS without feeling like I’m rationing it. The beads are about 3-5 mm, which makes them easy to handle and pour into breathable bags or containers without spilling everywhere. I love the blue-to-pink color change feature; it’s a clear, no-guesswork indicator when they’ve absorbed enough moisture and need a recharge. In the AMS, they start off a vibrant blue, and over a couple of weeks, they gradually shift to pink as they soak up humidity from the filament spools. Performance-wise, they do the job well. Paired with a hygrometer in the AMS, I’ve seen humidity levels drop from the 40-50% range down to a steady 15-20% within a day or two, depending on the weather. That’s been a lifesaver for my PLA and PETG prints—no more stringing or brittle parts due to moisture. The fact that they’re reusable is a huge bonus. When they turn pink, I pop them in the oven at 225°F for about an hour (spread out on a tray), and they’re back to blue and ready to go. I’ve also tried the microwave defrost method for 10 minutes, which works in a pinch, though it’s a bit less consistent. The build quality feels reliable—the beads don’t crumble or turn to dust, even after a few recharge cycles. The jug itself is sturdy with a tight lid, keeping the unused portion fresh until I need it. One small quirk: the color change isn’t always uniform across all the beads, so some stay blue longer than others, but it hasn’t affected their overall effectiveness. Also, they’re not the fastest at absorbing moisture compared to some pricier options, but for the price and reusability, I can’t complain. For anyone running a Bambu AMS, these silica beads are a practical, cost-effective way to keep filament in top shape. They’re simple to use, easy to recharge, and have kept my prints smooth and consistent. Definitely a worthwhile pickup for any 3D printing enthusiast dealing with humidity woes.

Excellent for drying 3D printer filaments - EASY TO BURN - DO NOT EXCEED 120 celsius.
Purchased for use with Malolos Silica Gel Desiccant containers to keep my troublesome 3D printer filament high, dry and ready for action, after 2 weeks I can say it works great. I've seen major improvements in my PETG prints and even some reduced stringing in some of my PLA+ ones as well. On average it absorbed about 8 grams of water from a ziplock bag sealed filament over the period of 1 week. The colour wasn't all the way green, but I decided to refresh it anyway. Used the lowest defrost setting on my microwave, the silica balls did their best Rice Krispies impression (snap, crackle, pop) for about 2 minutes then it settled down. I let it go a bit too long I think and ended up with about 5 or 6 black crystals due to overheating. So I think in future I will just remove as the popping stops, similar to microwave popcorn, and stir more often, as the recommended 10 minute cook time just seems excessive when using for smaller amounts. I then upgraded my containers to have built-in inexpensive hygrometers, tossed in 45 grams of silica gel, closed the lid, within 10 minutes the humidity of the air near the meter dropped from 45% down to 11% (and eventually 10% after another 5 minutes which I believe is the bottom cap to the hygrometer). As for the jar it came in, the photo can be a bid misleading as it looks like it should be 3-4 times the size bottle which appears similar to a detergent bottle, so it confused me at first when the package arrived and it was much smaller than I thought it would be. But I weight it at just over 2lbs, which was correct, and as I'm only using 45g of silica per-container, I should be able to keep 20 or 1kg filament rolls dry with the single jug (more so if I use the 1/2 size for smaller rolls). The price to keep dry per filament roll is pretty reasonable when you consider they can be refreshed multiple times. Overall, very happy with the purchase, will probably purchase again, and again, and again to support my 3D printing addiction. UPDATED: Perfect cooking recipe for nice orange beads, no burning. 1. Only cook smaller batches if using smaller dishes, larger batches should be done in larger containers with only a layer or 2 of beads to allow for better evaporation. 2. Cook for 2-3 minutes at a lower power setting, I use powerlevel 3. 3. Stir to release the steam. 4. Cook for 5 minutes at power level 2 to maintain the temp, but not burn the beads. 5. If beads are mostly orange, then you're done, if still greenish repeat step 2 through 4. Suggest weighing beads before and after.

Works well to keep my 3D printer filament dry and is easy to recharge
I used this silica gel to keep my 3D printing filament dry. Functionality: It is bright orange when dry and goes a green/grey when wet and then needs recharging by re heating for a period of time (2 hours at 250F /120C or 10mins on defrost in a microwave ) to drive out the moisture. The container is very handy to store it in and keeps it dry until you need to use it. I found the container means you can easily pore the granules into the various filament holders I use. Quality and Durability: It seems to be working well. I have cycled it several times by re drying it in my Bambu AMS dryer and it changes from a greyish green back to orange. The quality seems just perfect for my use. The beads are quite large so if I am in a hurry I can just pour some into the bottom of my filament containers. I have uploaded a video to show the size of the granules and the colour difference between the wet and dry states and the drying instructions on the container. Also a photo of how I store some of my filament in cereal containers and using 3Dprinted spool adapters to hold the beads. I hope this helps you decide if this is right for you.

No lo que esperaba
No funcionó como esperaba. Suponía que podía capturar humedad del ambiente y podría después desecarlo, que de nuevo se pondría anaranjado, pero se quedaron negras las perlas
